As reported by the Verge, the source codes for the popular OS Windows XP has been leaked along with the source code for Windows Server 2003. Some anon has leaked it on 4chan, though the files inside the download indicates that the source code has been shared privately since some years ago. The Verge also verified that the source codes are legit. A spokesperson from Microsoft has said that they are currently investigating the matter.

Not really since the source codes have been privately shared before in the underground community, so the actual leaks have been happened years ago.

I am not techie but our desktop at home is still running on Windows XP. Now it makes me wonder what effect that leak would have on our computer system. Maybe the hackers would tinker with the copy of the source code for their own amusement.
