So i decided recently to boost a post on facebook using facebook ads and i thought of this :
Depending on the region i'm targetting, i will stop the campaign during sleeping times ( usually from 23:00 to 10:00 ), will this help increasing the reach or is it just a stupid idea ?

Depends on what kind of content you want to promote. For example, if you want to promote adult products then maybe night time would be more appropriate.

Nah mate, i don't think that facebook will approve such ads for me, they don't even allow referral links, but i can still see adult toys being promoted by some websites in facebook, i still dont know the trick

The timing for the adult content Seems right, but like you said Facebook will not even allow referral links of such things, and about the toys, I still have not been able to understand how it works eaither

nah mate, i was just replying, i'm not even willing to promote such things, it's just a normal facebook post, i beleive timing doesn't matter with them

I mean we're living on a sphere lol. Morning in one country means it's night time in another country. In other words, internet is never sleeps.

it is better you leave let it run by itself.. You will have more views that way. Why not try posting it on comment boxes on popular post... That way its fre and simple

By enabling it in the times where people are browsing facebook would be better unlike in sleeping times when nobody browses facebook

I think you need to first of all know , if it possible to stop and continue the boosting , because most site won't allow that .
Assuming that it is possible , believe me , even during the sleeping time , people are still awake on Facebook .

You can actually stop the compaign and even cancel it, from what i experienced , so i guess it's gonna work just like before without any issues

OK then , I guess you will have a targeted audience , say some countries that you want the traffic to come from , so you have to work with their sleeping time data , however , most people stay up late on Facebook , so you should consider that too.

And some people don't even sleep at all . And also to be considered is the different time zones, you could get a potential affiliate from a place you think might be asleep

Will live to hear the feedback later , on how well this your nice idea worked with respect to getting traffic from Facebook , and controlling the promotion , especially in the sleeping time .
Had plans to do Facebook promotion soon .

Sure, you can. Besides we live in an all round world where when one country is expirencing night time, the other is expirencing day time. So, you can get traffic all day.

i'll be focusing on the timezone of the country that i'm targetting, and also will try to stick with the average sleeping time (which is 8 hours) and also when do people sleep and wake up
