Speaking of improvements, upgrading and updating, a lot of things have been abondonned and replaced either by better alternatives, or by things that do the same job as it is but with the help of another technology ( for example TV's with satellites, got replaced with internet, but the same concept of tv watching is still existing)

what do you think can replace the internet or spread its usage and take it out of machines world ?

I'm not a techie, so I really don't know. But wow, that would be fantastic! However, I have a feeling that may be way ahead of time. I feel like it does happen, it'll be long after we've passed on.

i don't think that there will be alternatives but it's possible thought, you don't know what improvements you're going to see in the future especially that the technology is improving so quickly

The only thing is changing the concept of internet operations, it efficiency and security but I don't their is a better alternative to internet except the name will change.

the concept is still the same as the one in sattelites , wireless connections, but the usage has spreaded in internet than satellites that were made for TV's only and few other usages that are nothing compared to internet

5g is the future. So does Internet of things (IoT), where everything will be connected. Augmented reality and Virtual reality enter the market. A.I. will replace human.

I think similar thing like this 5g network is what we experience rather than an alternative to internet. Internet as for now will only experience modification and improvement and not any form of competition from alternative.

Yeah satellites were more intra net connectivity with only downloading option while internet has more bandwidth with both download and uploading options. 5G is built to enable the efficiency of the internet connection nothing more.

However, this network must have all the resources I enjoy today. There has to be dedicated entertainment servers, social media servers where all my friends and family also have access to the network, knowledge databases. Since the internet is just a network of interconnected networks, the alternative I would choose is a single network NOT connected to other networks.

that's where the issue is, just because you have no idea what to invent that will replace internet, doesn't mean that it will never be invented , it's just a matter of time

It is so hard to tell if there is anything that can ever replace the internet. This is owing to the fact internet and technology are responsible for the many changes that have been occurring in the world. But who knows, something will just come up. I hope to be there to see it.

I agree with you totally, no alternative there will only be improvement or advancement except nothing like networks will exist again in our activities if not inter network will remain.

well, you really can't give a specific and stable answer, because human's brain is above the imagination ,you can't really know what's coming

Well, about 100 years ago going to outer space is just a dream for mankind. Look at us now. My point is that we'll never know how the future will unfold, for better or worse.

We will only continue to imagine things though I find it difficult to see an alternative to internet but there could be people more creative and intelligence that could predict the likely alternative justifiably.

That's true but I believed that the internet can only be made simpler to access and possibly cheaper but for now it is not easy to think of alternative to internet.

I can't really imagine this because the internet is still a new thing if you read the hsitory of the internet it's not really that old and it's still get developement everyday
like the internet is not the product now but it's the land where people can make their products
