Small private stores are stores that belong to individuals and not to a group (for example : ALDI or Lidl in europe), there are always big supermarkets that are opening here and there which is reducing the chance for those stores to sell something .
Do you think that these smalk stores will disappear someday?

They won't disappear because not every body love going to big mall or supermarket to get few things , ShopRite came to most cities in Nigeria yet other small stores are doing fine.

but that must have affected their income for sure, because people previously used to buy only from them, and now they got more stores to purchase from

It will surely reduce there rate of turnover but they still make sales because some people don't like to witness the que in such malls especially weekends.

It depends on the area these stores are in . in my area people prefer small stores to supermarket because supermarket normally have higje price tag . thus for any product available to the two parties , they will opt for small stores .

not really always high price, but they advertise and do promotions and reduce prices to attract more people, unlike small stores that are classic

that's a good point, also the position and location plays an important role, also sometimes those small stores sell things that aren't available in those supermarkets

I don't think so because people most times start with this small store anytime they want to start a business. Allot of people too like to buy from the small store.

it doesn't matter if you are able to start it or not, but what matters is that if it will succeed or not, that what you should take on consideration

The advantage of bigger malls is that they have higher and faster sales than the smaller stores especially in their earlier years in business people love to explore.

There are still many people who depend on these small stores instead of going to a big shopping mall for some reason like some products they get cheaper..

I don't think so, some small stores in my area are starting to move their business online to expand their reach and have online presence. Monopoly is bad and governments shouldn't allow it.

If they do not match themselves to a better vesrion of them according to internatinal features beside keeping local ones, they have to consider the world economy and technology are growing fast, must admit and upgrade them selves my idea

That's why I said it depends on location . here in my area , supermarkets are known to be for the rich because of the high price . is only 5% of them that are offering product at moderate price .

They will not dissapear but they will become fewer. Supermarkets and malls are really on the rise and many are getting comfortable with buying from there. In my country, some places are not so developed and so there are no supermarkets. Therefore, small stores still work well.

Even with the high rate at which supermarkets are increasing , small shops can't fully be suppressed because there are villages where supermarkets can't be established due to low turnover

That is true. They can never dissapper due to that reason. Especially in the village where I live, there are very few people so there is no need for a supermarket. Small stores are very active here.

Yea , secondly they will run at a loss because of high cost of transporting the goods they sell From the urban areas to the village where the supermarket is set .
Moreover villagers don't buy much because most are farmers and they farm all they eat .

they exist everywhere here, their number is more than supermarket's number, so they still have a chance to earn something decent

Small stores just need to extent their reach by making the online version of their store, and by offering delivery service they'll thrive for some years to come.
