Ethereum right now the #2 crypto currency in the world and is very popular among the crypto investors and is also less volatile compared Bitcoin.

So, is there any chance that Ethereum reach the same heights as Bitcoin in the near future or even eclipsing it?

This is the fact no coins now can be ascertain to compete with Bitcoin now so Bitcoin will continue to be in it's own class of cyptocurrency for a very long time.im not even seeing it falling pass the 4k mark.

It was once $3500 , I think during last year , after that it raised very quickly and reached once again $10000 and then $15000 , that's the spirit of bitcoin.

eth for me can;t surpass 500$ before 2020 , no-one will back eth to such extent because on numerous occasions it fallen and didn;t recovered in +positive this year while btc has recovered from negative to positive shows more trust for btc by investors and holders

Yes, I remember that ETH/BTC rate fixed at 0.1 for a long time in the past. Now this just about 0.02, ETH has to get it old position before think about the overthrow.

I think litecoin is better than ethereum then , am I right ? I know no cryptocurrencies at least for the next 2 years would overtake Bitcoin , but I think litecoin is better than ethereum though it has very less value , it was once $150 , I think 8 months ago.

Ethereum as its own advantage as it's transaction fees is comparitively lower than Bitcoin. But yeah when compared to Bitcoin , ethereum has lower price.

Yeah it's good cryptocurrency . After Bitcoin , Bitcoin cash is dominating with $185 per coin , but ethereum is somewhere around $130 ,it has a potential to cross bitcoincash.

the network of ethereum has grown very much and has become very fast but Bitcoin in itself is a big coin and the coin cannot Beat It yes the network including all its token may become more valued but as a single going with and never can be defeated

I have the same opinion as the other members here to be honest ethereum will never surpass bitcoin unless bitcoin is ended this is my opinion

Ethereum doesn't have the potentials to rise as high as bitcoin any more , there are lot of coins out there that people prefer to invest on than ethereum. Litecoin due do high percentage rise than ethereum.

The awareness, the market volume cap and the usage of bitcoin is far higher than ethereum, except ethereum grow in these factors while bitcoin is stagnant (highly impossible) . Ethereum will always under bitcoin.

Your figures are bit incorrect, ethereum as at when you post was $207 while bitcoin was $9274 the price of bitcoin dropped late yesterday in my own time. I also believe ethereum can't be as high as bitcoin cos it is when bitcoin rises that it correspond.

Noway... I don't think that the Ethereum cryptocurrency value will meet the value of bitcoin... The value of bitcoin is increasing year by year and its unpredictable the price of bitcoin in the future... The Ethereum cannot have such value like bitcoin

Do you think all people can switch bitcoin for ethereum when they never did for a long time now , I doubt if such will happen, Bitcoin is far ahead of ethereum.

It is highly probable...people who didn't jump into the Bitcoin bandwagon earlier can make Ethereum their choice and hope for the same rise in value as BTC. But again a lot of factors determine the value of crypto to rise.. for e.g. increased demands and interest in the crypto.
