Ethereum right now the #2 crypto currency in the world and is very popular among the crypto investors and is also less volatile compared Bitcoin.

So, is there any chance that Ethereum reach the same heights as Bitcoin in the near future or even eclipsing it?

Indeed. This Ethereum 2.0, seems that could be definitively released starting from December 1st.
From the information I found on the net, this Ethereum upgrade, in a short time, ever in my opinion could even surpass Bitcoin!

It's not in any way certain that ethereum will be competing with bitcoin in price or have the same price with bitcoin. The probability is 0. eth has a long way to go

Well, that's for sure. Also given by the fact that, between the release of Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency and Ethereum, there are six years of difference! (2009-2015).

The situation that might make that possible at least during this cycle is where bitcoin rallies to new all time highs and the subsequence flow of that money into altcoins in a renewed altcoin season accompanied by a fall in bitcoin dominance... in that situation ETH might overtake BTC in terms of market cap, but likely it will be brief and it will precede entering the next bear market.

Nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency world but Ethereum reaching the same height with bitcoin is bot going to be easy cos of its fluctuations Lite coin has more chances but cant still reach the height which bitcoin the popular coin is now

It appears to me, looking at the trend of the last year among some different better known cryptocurrencies, that they have more or less the same pattern, such as Bitcoin.
In fact, they had a continuous increase in the price until last April, and then went back down in the last two months.
Therefore this now instead leads me to think that, however, it could always be Bitcoin that can have a higher value than all other cryptocurrencies

Yes, of course may be it will not beat btc, but it can reach the same price bar as the btc have now because it is backed by strong projects.

Well yep, bitcoin is kinda outdated and really needs an upgrade, ethereum on the other hand is adapting to situations and upgrades the etheruem devs are quite committed to this unlike the bitcoin devs

Do you know that I have heard of many people who instead prefer those called: Stablecoin, as they say they give more security?
Do you agree? I don't know them.

Well stablecoins usually are centralized, and are being manage by one entity as they will have to adjust its price and supply to keep it at a dollar or price of the fiat it is connected to

I am sorry, forgive me, I'm trying to understand better. So Stablecoins, would be pratically cryptocurrencies with the same value (or perhaps trend) as the dollar?

Yep, Or any local if they want, though most stablecoins are tied to the value of a dollar, a stablecoin can also be tied to the value of other local currencies like pound dependent to the developer of the coin

Ok, now maybe it's clear enough to me. Therefore these cryptocurrencies are always linked to real coins. Perhaps this is why someone says that could me more safer.

I think there is potential to grow, if ETH2 gets active and fees keep low, many investors will be attracted.
