The trend is nowadays people spend on time on facebook, instagram, twitter and other social medias.

Even if I browse websites it is only for news sites.

And then if I need to check out info guidance like how to fix my hanging android phone, then it is more likely that i would go to youtube and watch the step-by-step instructions

And also V-logs are more relevant than reading travel blogs with photos.

What do you guys think?

It is really good that you are concentrating on creating a great product more than earning money fast. But 7 years is a long time to run a blog without creating an income from it - I don't think I would have the patience to do that, but it may well pay off in the long-term.

Thanks. And you're right, seven years is a very long time to not be gaining from the site now, but COVID has a lot to do with it, sadly ? ? I also have to say the blog is a labour of love more than anything, even though monetisation would be fab! If it were focused on anything else, I'd probably have chucked the towel in by now. It's much more than just a blog to us -the plans we have lined up for it are very extensive.

Yes, I can understand that. Covid has pushed many people's plans back. After 7 years of work the very last thing you want to do is rush and ruin it at the last moment - it sounds like your plans are ambitious and I think you are quite right to take it slow and get it right, Good luck!!

Websites will never become irrelevant because there are many types of websites. It's not just one category. Websites can never become irrelevant because that means the whole internet becoming irrelevant. Come on! Google is a website! . Even YouTube is a website. For websites to become irrelevant that would mean you can't do anything online or on the internet.

That being said, blogs will never be irrelevant but may become unpopular at certain points , because Google values videos more than blogs that's why when you type search something on Google, if there is a video on that topic, the videos show up above first before the rest of the text contents. Capiche!

I believe blogs will someday become unpopular as videos or vlogs has snatched the spotlight in media content and most journalism, but blogs will never be obsolete or irrelevant just like you reteirated.

As long as the internet remains, blogs and websites will continue to exist. In fact, both have come to stay because the world has embraced the internet.

It depends on the distinction made between APPs and Websites. Where I live websites (i.e. those pages accessed through a web-browser) are almost completely unused as everyone only uses APPs to access information on the web.

That is imposible. Many people still folow some Blog and some website and offcourse because of their content. Any gikd apps, should have a website or blog for them to be more attractive for people to know.
Blog will still be there as long as the internet exist..

Sorry, you are very clearly wrong. Impossible is always the wrong word to use when dealing with technology, things move so quickly and change so much all the time that anything is possible.
The vast majority of apps I use do not have a blog or website. Different countries are very different in their use of the internet!

Social media can give you onlly a short informtion but not a detailed description about a subject.

For tutorials, how to, get help, etc, we need to refer to websites. blogs and tutorial videos.

Because of the data consumed while watching videos, many would prefer to read information in detail.

There are many apps beyond social media that provide detailed description of any subject you may wish, in both video and text. There is very little that can't be done without accessing a website.

Almost every mobile app has a website, most mobile apps create a website before they create a mobile version, so websites will stay relevant.

I don't think blogs and websites can be irrelevant in this modern world due to the volumes of contents and information that are readily available 0n their pages nd the wider audience they reach within very share period of time i think the can only get better as time goes on

Again, you make a mistake by only thinking about where you live :) Different countries are different, the vast majority of apps where I live do not have a website.

Apps having a website does not have anything to do with residential location. Please could you give me some example of the apps where you live that don't have a website? definitely gotta be some unserious app but would love an example.

I live in China, and yes, apps do have a lot to do with residental location, not that many apps can't be downloaded in other countries, but particuar countries tend to use particular apps (for example the US uses WhatsApp, Japan uses Line and China uses Wechat).

Many, many apps designed exclusively for Chinese users have no website.

lol. All the apps, you have mentioned above have a website. I don't know if you read me correctly. I said give me some example of the apps where you live that don't have a website! You just trying to continue a pointless discussion instead of accepting the truth, yes cos bmf points increasing. Isn't it? Please stop.

You missed my point completely, the point was in the last sentence. Many apps designed exclusively for Chinese users have no websites - my written Chinese is very poor so I'm not going to attempt to type the names - but that doesn't make it untrue :)

We don't get all the information on youtube or socal media, There is a lot of information we found on blogs and websites which we didn't find on others, so they will never become

You don't get all the information you need on youtube and social media sure, but there are many other places where information is obtainable, not only blogs and websites.

For now websites and traditional blogs are solving a lot of problems in the real world. It might not be perfect but then unless something comes up to replace it then it is going to be around for a long time. This is because it is consequentially more easier to create and also much more cheaper to manage.
