Considering the twitter bitcoin scam that took place from Wednesday to Thursday morning , and bearing in mind how top verified twitter account was hacked .
Will this lead to government of various countries banning bitcoin or will the value of bitcoin rise due to the large amount of bitcoin stolen , which may not be released for the mean time .

I think the value of Bitcoin will rise because large amount of Bitcoin has been stolen. Government may not ban Bitcoin because it's solely people's responsibility to check twice before sending any money to a scammer account

Maybe the price will rise, but the trend say otherwise and this pandemic makes it worse. It's still too early to judge since the event has just happened.

I don't think this would make bitcoin banned by government in some countries , because people also get scammed with various payment options and most government officials like bitcoin

I think there was a rise in bitcoin value up to 1.37% this afternoon . I do hope that it won't affect bitcoin negatively , as it is the only cryptocurrency with a high value that worth investing in .

It is true that other payment options has been used sometimes ago to scam people , but then bitcoin has been getting wrong impression because of the scamming activities perform through it , before this incidence . this just confirmed it .

Some other coins are also worth investing on, the rise in the price in the price of bitcoin might not because of the incident that happen , other factors could have caused it

The way things are going, the rate at which bitcoin scam is becoming very alarming it could affect bitcoin price negatively the government might put in some restrictions

I thought about this too , but considering the fact that bitcoin is not the first payment method that has been used to scam people , I think government won't ban it easily

Accepted bitcoin isn't the first payment method, but have it in mind that bitcoin is an e-currency
Yea bitcoin is an e- currency but then many fiat currency has been a source of scamming .
I think we just have to wait and see what happens later

I think it will have a negative impact, as those people who have been scammed may probably stop doing bitcoin for a while or a long period of time due to the scam

Scam is a continious with or without bitcoin so government can not use this as a factor to ban Crypto currency and I don't think it will contributing factor to rise the price.

Do you know that the scammer stole more than $13m worth of bitcoin? .
He would release this bitcoin for some months in order to avoid being caught .
Won't this affect supply and does increase price ?

The only reason that will make it affect the price of bitcoin is if he floods the market with the stolen bitcoin now otherwise it won't because the bitcoin was on hold where he stole it from.

Being on hold means that there will be limited supply . consider it this way , assuming there are a total of 100 bitcoin available , and hacker stole and hold 40 bitcoin , the remaining bitcoin will experience price rise .

It is still 100 bitcoins but the 40 stole is with the wrong holders, it not lost because the hackers will eventually sell of the bitcoin and people will be buy them so no reduction in supply.

He will sell it , and the total bitcoin is 100 bitcoin , all this I agree with you , but my point is that , for the fact that he will not sell it in two to three months time in order to avoid be traced , supply will be affected within these months.

Say who?. Do be surprise that it has been sold to different exchangers anonymously using mixer which mask all their transactions.

Mixer ? , this is the first time am hearing this . if there is such a mixer that can mask transaction then , there is more reason to be careful with cryptocurrency , because there is no way to trace the transaction.
