Starting in January 2020, nobody would have thought that we would enter into an era where everything will change completely. Since the covid-19 expanded its muscles all over the world, many countries were badly affected, economies shattered, unemployment rate soared and people were out of money and job.

Though the situation is getting normal these days, but it will require lots of time for the things to get back to normal. One of the things that we have learnt form pandemic, to minimise physical contact as much as possible.

And in such a case, transactions with cash should be minimised. Cash travels very fast from person to person, it may have damaging effect for a society. So it is better to use online transactions instead of cash.

Yes , you are correct in the saying and it makes sense , but cash can never be finished , so need of cash is always there , paper industry owners and workers are dependant on it , the workers have their wages attached to it

Yes, it's a good suggestion but that can not possible because it's not a every money that can be paying through online transaction. There are many business that the such payment method will not useful for.

Not possible at the moment, but due to the pandemic most of the business is already implemented. so this is the best time for businesses to go digital and cashless. In our country the digitalization and cashless process in its peak now.

I understand you and even in my country also people are being using the digitalization and cashless processing in many places despite that covid-19 has been left because they have already adapt to the pattern.

I think that the world is heading towards a digital era, physical money is good but limited in it's uses and applications, it is also non hygienic, so digital currency is actually the way forward

I appreciate your thought, "Though the situation is getting normal these days, but it will require lots of time for the things to get back to normal. One of the things that we have learnt form pandemic, to minimise physical contact as much as possible."

That is right. When the pandemic first started, that is among the first announcements that was made by the ministry of health here in my country. People were told to use mobile money for transactions and minimize the use of cash.

There are still countries that are largely cash based, and some countries especially poor countries can't really afford going for a digital based transaction as most of them barely have phones though

The countries where the development is at slow pace, aren't very technologically advanced, so cash payment is easier for them.

Exactly, this is what I have been tried to say. There are many under development countries that can not easily base on digitalization spending due to rate of poor and illiterate people.

When people are unfamiliar with digital payments, then there's a possibility that they may send more less money by mistake.

This is very correct. Its better usage of cash is been reduced, because so many lessons were learnt during the time of Covid-19, because all these kind of viruses can be contacted through money, and aside that online transaction is faster and more interesting than cash transaction. So many people does not trade with cash anymore, they deal with online transaction, because it has helped reduced arm robbery as well
Cashless transactions are truly becoming so much interesting and easier to use. However, one should really be careful with them because sending money to the wrong person can be so hard to retrieve. Mistakes can easily be made when sending money through the phone.

With the situation the world is currently in, limiting cash is the one of the best way to decrease the virus transmission, but it will have it own backlash because only online transactions can't be always secured and not everybody have access to the internet.

Authorities in the Philippines have enforced the scan card for paying the fare in public buses and trains. It is like an atm card that is loaded with cash value. But the public had difficulty in using the card so cash was again allowed.
