I was trying to register in a site called Humanatic, a site that pays for checking and categorizing customer care calls. In order to register successfully a verified PayPal account is mandatory.

I have a verified PayPal account and am able to register there. But I wonder why they ask for a verified PayPal account ever? I really do not have any clue about this.

Would appreciate if anybody can throw some light on this.

I guess having an verified PayPal account inspire trust and you know businesses are looking for serious people only.

By the way how much do you earn with Humanatic?

I have never really understood the reasons behind some of the verification methods used by certain sites. I am always weary of giving out personal information, though, and I would have to say that giving information about a site where I have some money stored would also raise a big question mark for me. I would just approach with caution, just like anything, and maybe keep an extra eye on your balance to make sure nothing fishy is going on.

I think you are correct in the sense that having a verified PayPal account gives more credibility of the end user.

I just started using Humanatic. It is like you cannot earn much at the beginning as there will be only two low paid categories open for you. But once you complete a a number of calls successfully more high paying categories will be unlocked for you. To be frank I could not focus that much on Humanatic due to lack of time. But I could unlock a number of new categories till now and got a number of bonus payments for accuracy.

The best thing is that you can work 24x7 at your own pace and convenience. There is no strict schedule and you can find calls waiting for review for almost any time. But sometimes the number of calls in certain categories is quite low.

Is it not the immensely obvious reason that this is how they will pay you? Maybe they don't want to deal with whining people who have earned a balance and either don't understand Paypal or are not able to use it due to their country of residence of because they are banned. Might as well make people sort that shit out before they even get started. The tantrums I see about stuff like this are unbelievable. Like people put up lots of Hubages and then pitch a fit because hey are banned from AdSense or Paypal which is the only system to earn and pay they use there.

Anytime you are asked to give your Paypal info it has to be because of the payment process. Either they are paying you or you are paying them. In this case they will pay you through your Paypal account. With a Paypal account you have to go through some security clearances and this may be what the company needs to really verify who you are or claim to be in fraudulent cases. I think this is a security measure put in place.

Having a verified PayPal account is just a security features that a lot of sites have these days, and it simply is just a matter of trust.

Having a verified account means that there will be less chance of any problems with payements as PayPal as verified your identification so effectively means the actual site doesn't have to.

And another angle is that Paypal has these securities to protect us buyers. If for some reason you order something from Ebay...you are rest assured if anything goes wrong Paypal has your back. They will investigate any problems you have with shipments or even payments you are to receive and always has a solution.

I have not tried humanatic however, I am on HubPages which also require you to verify your paypal account by associating hubpages with paypal. I think this is is done to avoid fraudulent cases and bring the transaction on tax frame.

Because they don't want payment from Illegal people or companies. There are hackers from worldwide who use someone Paypal account
for buying goods without knowing them.
Once the products were sold to the hackers, the real person will file a dispute with Paypal for refund and the seller have to refund or Paypal will refund to the real person only.
This is what the seller loose their goods because they already shipped the items to the hacker.
A verified account is used to know the real person, from which country, etc and such sites checks along with the IP registration.

I have this question somewhere. It is not your PayPal that has been asked, especially when you've already been verified. The problem lies on Humanatic. Humanatic's PayPal account has a verification issue. This simply means that their PayPal account hasn't been updated lately. That could a possible problem.

Not sure, why they want this. Perhaps they want to prevent hackers and anyone who is going to misuse there site. The company knows that the person is real and there account is definitely verified.

Its very simple, to avoid cheaters. Do you know that some people have huge click farm and they can simultaneously work with his gadget on 50 different accounts. But its harder to have 50 different pay pal accounts.

One reason for that I think its because those kind of sites are legit and serious sites and hence I think I'll want a verified account so that one you you reach your threshold and request for payment you'll easily be guaranteed with no much problems.

I think it could be security reasons. Personally, I wanted to try the site out but when I got to the verified paypal account, I couldn't go further. I don't have one, until they add another payment method before maybe I could join.

I like the site though.

PayPal verification means the PayPal is yours and is not owned by bots or scammers. Also, verifying your PayPal prevents your account from being limited. You might receive cash and not be able to withdraw it because of PayPal not being verified.

A verified PayPal will make it possible for the site to pay you a huge amount of money because they trust you.

I'm sure few years ago when I first
used Paypal you had to have a
verified account to receive cash
in a business transaction!

You could receive cash if people
sent it as a gift ( such as a friend
sending you some cash) but not
where the cash was payment for
goods or services! Although the
rules have changed as my new
Paypal account has never been
verified and I can get cash from
Ebay sales etc.

Also good for companies to have
proof of where the payments went
incase of tax inspection etc.

I think this your reasons sound reasonable to a large extent because I was wondering same when I was to registered with an app called citizenme and I could not go through the job offer because my paypal wasn't verified and I was denied the offer and I was wondering what they meant by that.Well,if these are the reasons,it fair enough.

And there are also more reasons. They also want to prevent users from having multiple accounts. A verified PayPal is proof that it is owned by one person and you can open only one account for example in citizenme.

Is your PayPal still unverified?

May be they want to restrict their jobs to countries that are PayPal enable so not waste their resources to people who knows that they are not eligible with PayPal being payment processor yet they still join the site
