There is misconception among the traders, that trading and gambling are same. And there is reason to believe this too. Since both of them have high risks involved, hence it is normal for outsiders to think that both are more or less the same.

But when you actually indulge yourself in forex trading, only then you will know, that forex is much more professional than gambling. Forex trading is well recognized market where people trade and earn with professional skills, unlike in gambling which is done purely based on luck.

I think trading is not actually gambling . Trading and Gambling are two different thing . In many cases Trading doesn't have any risk of lossing a huge amount of money . But on gambling there are always a risk of lossing money .

Trading is not gamebling except you dont know what to do,that is why I have to encourage that you learn how to trade at first before you get yourself started,when the right skills is there you can make so much money and see trading as not gambling business.

Even though it is not really gambling the risk involve in it is too high and one might easily lose its funds. I tried it a couple of times and have bot made any useful gains so i hardly do it this days because it is not really encouraging to me.

In my opinion , trading is just same as gambling but it's like controlled gambling as you decide when to exit your position and that will dictate your profit or loss

They don't know there is a big difference between an activity where pure luck is the king (gambling) and an activity that need hard studying about markets, economy, finances, international events and politics that determine the up and down of the traded stocks (forex, trading). Never think to trade as a dice game: this leads to obvious losses.

You have made a good point people who think trading is a game dont have knowledge and can never trade well,trading is never a game its way which you build your skills that you can equally earn while trading

I guess some people sees it as a game because they supposedly think that it takes "skills" to win and earn in trading like in games, and the uncertainty of your decisions

Forex trading is considered as gambling by many because they have not seen much people earninng from it , but have only read about how people lose out always. This is enough to make them see it as gambling.

I think the gambling part in trading for most people is the volatility part , as there are uncertainties in volatility just like in casino games where it has uncertainties

The difference of trading stocks or forex with gambling is that trading is dealing with a commodity while gambling is dealing only with the odds. Betting in the casino's roulette has no commodity involved. Investing in stocks is buying a commodity that is part ownership of a corporation.

Sure those are the core differences of the two, but most people don't really see those core differences they only see the risks and chances of profit of the two and they assume that the risks are the same with the two

I used to think that forex trading is a form of gambling too. But after a while of reading about it, I learnt that it is actually professional as you need the knowledge and skills in order to earn.

Perhaps because of the risks involved. If you are not careful as a trader you can lose as much money as a gambler. I personally believe there is no difference between trading and gambling.
