most HYIP sites have proven to be scam , although few of them are legit .
Below are few reasons , I think that contributes to , the cause of HYIP sites not being legit .

1. When there is more withdrawal request than deposit .
Hyip sites pays users a certain percentage of the deposited amount . At first , they may start , paying investors with their own money , in order to get audience . when more people start joining the site , they will then , start paying with what people deposited . thus when there is more withdrawal request than , deposit request , they will seize paying , because they also want to make their own profit .

2. There are some of them , that starts with the intention of scamming people . once they made enough gain from peoples deposit , they will close the site .

What are your own opinion on this issue ?

This is a ponzi scheme, it's being used by the popular russian website golden-farm, even though, they never tell you that while registering, you have to find it yourself

The sites are marked as scam but still pay because they pay selectively, some people are paid while the others are scammed, ex. spry-fun, they still pay some people now.

What is the point then , since they are now being selective ? A good investment site should be able to pay every user , without selection .
This is why I hate mist HYIP sites . hyip is not a good investment platform .

You are absolutely correct,selective payment undermines the confidence of investors and investors would then refrain from investing!
This year many sites have gone scam very fast!

I will prefer to be scammed by paid to post site than , by a hyip site , because I will get to learn from paid to post site , which will argument for the time spent there , but can't gain anything from hyip site .

What I meant by legit was that it payed for some days and we could recover our deposits and earn a profit from it!

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I always wanted to dive into HYIPs myself, just waiting for the right time to do so after my funds are ready.

Definetly you can't find one , because they don't normally have long term plans when build a HYIP site , however some pays up to 3 months before getting less members depositing , and then turning scam.

Many HYIP sites now a days are purely based on ponzi method!
This degrades the sentiment of the investors!
This year is bad for investment in hyips!

Its business for them at all. HYIP sites are the easiest way for them to get huge profit/income online without stress & hassle. For some investors, it is profitable but for most, it could bring losses. One should always know how HYIP sites work.

I think HYIP sites works in two ways ; the site owner makes easy and fast money from it , the early investors on their own , makes fast money from it . but will this justify the fact , that it is a bad investment ? No .

One thing I noticed about hyip sites is that even if its new most admin motive is to scam after advertising their site on different media, then start selecting payout request

they scam us because simply they couldn't make money online or they didn't find a way to earn money.
so they decide to create those scripts and start making easy money from the investments of users

Yea , admins of most hyip sites are always on the winning end , they can never lose , as they are the ones that decide whether to pay or not .
This is why people are engaging into it .
Is quite sad to see , how people are been scammed

All HYIPs are SCAM
For the very simple reason that one someone starts an HYIP
He has the intention to SCAM people
As it's the only way to make .money from it
