Hey,

Most of the landing pages that I've seen and many of the themes from known providers are ugly as sin. They tend to look kind of scammy, like the known red color, many pull quotes and similar.

But time and again, marketing firms use these examples and I'm just wondering if there's some psychology to it? Or is it just that there are better looking samples around that work as well, but the shitty ones still work like they used to for years, so IMers continue copying them?

@Bigron. Landing page can be promoted using any outlets. Making people visit such a landing page is the goal of every marketer. Some may not even create any landing page if naturally they can promote their affliate links using other ways.

it's worth noting that not all landing pages are ugly or unappealing. Many businesses and organizations invest in high-quality design and development to create landing pages that are both visually appealing and effective at driving conversions. Ultimately, the design of a landing page should align with the goals and needs of the business or organization that it represents.

It depends on the company or business. Many of them are so engrossed with the message the want to pass and as such pay less attention to theme and other aspects of the page. I don't even look at the designs, I look at how you construct your message and what you have to offer.

That's it. It all depends on the taste of the affliate marketers. There are some that spend more to get a beautiful page as their landing page. There are also some that do not really care about how the page looks.

Priorities-wise, the content should be the main area of attention. The value proposition of the good or service that is being provided ought to be clearly communicated in the language on the landing page, and it ought to deal with any possible reservations or worries that the intended consumers could have.

I remember that landing page means landscape design for example but I am not sure from the information. But it contains information on the page about the website. This is what I have as knowledge.

In my opinion, the web has come a long way from dull, boring, simple HTML pages to flashy-looking, highly dynamic pages as landing pages.

But, it is more of a question of the taste of the business owner, IMO, while deciding the look and feel of the landing page.

Also, certain kind of sites has typically made a deliberate ugly look that tends to allure certain kinds of user.

@Sojourn Nowadays people are looking for the easiest option not wanting a headache and programming something good to see or something responsive or mobile-friendly that doesn't make value CSS of the website or even the content or anything beautiful.

It works and that's why it will continue to be in use.

People are attracted to certain colours, words and phrases. They will always cause an adrenaline rush no matter how much we've been exposed to them.

For example, "How to make money Online" is boring

But "How You can Go from $0 to $10,000 in one month with no Skills" will definitely attract attention, even though we know that rationally, it's not true.

Yes, and the same goes for the usage of colors/graphics. A boring-looking, single-tone page doesn't evoke interest, but a highly dynamic, shiny, flashy-looking page would attract attention and even conversion.

In the back of page you could find enroll for course for 299 $ for example but if you enroll today you will have 100 $ cash back means pay today 199 $ only and then the course contains generalities but they have level system:
Commission per course purchase : 80 $
10 persons that buys the course: 800 $
20 persons that buys the course : 1600 $
30 persons that buys the course : 2400 $
40 persons that buys the course : 3200 $
50 persons that buys the course: 4000 $
Up to 100 persons or above per month: 8000 $ (+2000 $ bonus)
These systems are pyramidal.

Iterative design is used to create landing pages. Starting with a simple, functional design, marketers and designers may progressively improve it depending on data and user input. Some landing pages may appear to be "work in progress" as a result of this iterative process.

There is many software to create landing pages and could even suggest to you specific designs means there is nothing to do alone especially since they have algorithms to suggest the model more suitable for you based on AI and software learning.

You've raised an interesting point. While some landing pages may seem unattractive, there's often psychology behind their design. Elements like bold colors and pull quotes can grab attention and create a sense of urgency. However, design trends evolve, and there are indeed more aesthetically pleasing and effective alternatives. It's a mix of psychology, historical success, and sometimes a resistance to change that leads to the persistence of such designs. A well-designed, visually appealing landing page can often perform just as effectively, if not better.

Landing page doesn't have to be very attractive as they only do one job which is to collect in the contacts of the prospect. Landing page needs to be very simple in order to prevent distracting the prospect from doing the needful on the page. Over design can also in that the performance of the landing page.

The problem is that people just design once the landing page and then doesn't hire a graphist to let things up to date and spend money on development or content and doesn't give attention to the design that is common reason why it looks not good.

Many businesses focus on functionality over form, choosing to prioritize conversions over design. Second, many businesses rely on pre-made templates, which can often look generic and uninspiring. Third, some businesses lack the budget or expertise to create beautiful and effective landing pages
