Here on the island I have a very large organic garden that I grow food in. I work there daily planting, cleaning, watering, and at times harvesting food.

The reason I started this garden was to have a good quality food to eat that wasn't filled with growing hormons or bug sprays.

I believe in organic gardening because it is natural and produces a better tasting food to eat. Plus the food in the garden is healthier for you and it is grown with water and love.

If you grow your own food at home do you see a difference than buying them in stores? I know I do. The salad tastes like salad and the cucumbers are so site and sweet. Even the mellons and watermellons taste so different wwhen they are grown organically.

I grow pears, blackberries, apples, strawberries and a few other fruits in my yard.

That sounds fantastic. We can't grow that types of fruits here on the island. I just started my water melons and another type of melon two weeks ago. We normally plant them this time of the year because we are going into our summer months. My papaya trees are giving me a lot of fruit right now and it is nice to eat fresh papayas.

Yes growing food in you home saves you in buying in the market for food and vegetables however that is if you have a good place to grow food and vegetables in your house. If you do not have a good place to grow foods and vegetables it will die and sometimes if you have already a good farm of it some people will steal your farm especially kids who are hungry so it is much better to go in the market for me because we do not have a good place to grow foods and vegetables

I have a large piece of land that I grow food on. Recently I planted for our summer months coming up. I enjoy working here and taking care of it. Sorry to hear you can't do this at your home.

We grow camotes, (sweet potatoes), for the roots and the tops, okra, a few cucumbers and cherry tomatoes, lots of Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis, (otherwise known as the asparagus, or yardlong bean), many weird tropical vegetables my wife knows, but I haven't a clue what they are, (or what they're used for), and finally masses of twining vines of Basella alba, more commonly known as Malabar Spinach.

Here in central Georgia, in the southeastern USA, Malabar Spinach grows almost as vigorously as the notorious Kudzu. (If you don't know, around here they call Kudzu the "vine that ate the south".)

We most of our greens at home. Currently we have Kailan, Spinach, Kale, Mustard Greens, Pechay and Kangkong (water spinach). We have our calamansi (calamondin), chilis, eggplants and herbs, and we have fruit trees as well. Growing our own food definitely lowered our food expenses. Knowing that there are no pesticides used in our vegetables/fruits is a plus also.

can you show us the garden i love gardens, well we have a garden before because because my friend gave my different kinds of seeds to plant and it was fun looking at them grow i like the cucumber trick when you water it like 3-5 times a day the fruit will be sweet something like that.

I am growing my own foods like vegetables and fruits at home. Its been my hobby to grow this plants. In the backyard I have vegetables like eggplants, tomatoes and other green leafy vegetables. I also have some fruit trees like pomelo, guava, mango, dragon fruits and banana to name a few. And also I grow my organic livestock like native chickens and goats.
Every morning I roam around and see this things that really feels great with me. While holding my cup of coffee I visit these plants and livestock. It's satisfying doing this and it also give relief from stress.

I did not have a garden this past summer but I did before that. I grew tomatoes, beans, squash, okra, lettuce, onions, and several different herbs. Even if we don't plant a large garden, I try to keep grape tomatoes and my herbs and lettuce going. I wish I had the time and energy to really devote to a big garden. I would also love to have an orchard with plenty of fruit trees and lots of berry and grape vines.

I always grow fruits and vegetables at home. Recently, the hose broke, had to be repaired. If anyone is interested. Try attaching the inner rubber seal. In the manufacture of rubber is used, which has a special composition, thanks to which the hose becomes sealed, perfectly copes with aggressive environments, does not stretch and does not deform. And the outer protective layer protects the product from external negative influences, ensuring the strength, durability, and reliability of the hose. Hydraulic technology is widely used in various industries. They are especially popular in car wash complexes and specialized service stations. The strong, wear-resistant shell copes well with friction. Since most models are sold in coils of 100 meters, the user can easily choose the desired length depending on the car wash.

For we Indian it is not easy to grow crops at home, because we have not land for it. Peoples who are living in small town may be have a kitchen garden but who are living in metro and large city only have some plant in clay pots. Organic food are much healthy and safe,

That is true, growing your food especially vegetables are very good. There taste is so natural without any preservative and storage taste. It is always recommended to set aside small portion of your land for small farming.

I used to live in a house with a garden and we grew many vegetables there. You are right, the taste is far superior to anything you can get in stores. I would like to have my own garden again someday. For now I only have a balcony. I am considering growing a few things there this summer.

I live and grew up in a farming community, we are mainly not commercial farmers. Where you face the hard tales of life when you do not grow crops. Corns, sunflowers, beans, fish and a lot of us a pastoral farmers.

If we have right on roof of our house or flat than we can grow some vegetable on it. In India in metro cities most of peoples are living in flats and have not right on roof, Organic vegetable is best for our health
