Hi there,

I have been blogging for more than five years. I am familiar with Namecheap, Godaddy, Bluehost, Porkbun, and some more domain name registrars. Now I need to know the cheapest domain name registrar in the world. My experience says, Porkbun is one of the cheapest domain name registrars and they offer $4.15 per domain. But the problem is, you can register only 3 domains in a single account.

So, which is the cheapest domain name registrar to you? Share your thoughts with this forum.

Thanks in advance...

I think namecheap has the cheapest domains names ever and also there is domain dot com and sometimes you find coupons for go daddy dmaines for just 0.99

in Godaddy, $0.99 is for one time only per account holder. You can't register any other domain using your same payment gateway for $0.99. That is the business policy of Godaddy. On the other hand, Namecheap is better than Godaddy. But, need to know the cheapest domain name registrar in the industry right now. Thanks..

Heard some bad stuff about Godaddy as of late, like the difficulty people experiencing when tthey try to move thoir domanin name to another registrar. Better use Namecheap like other people here suggesting.

According to my research GoDaddy is one of the cheapest domain provider in the market so you must go through them and GoDaddy also provides hosting services.

Could you please tell me, what's the renewal fee of Godaddy for a single .com domain? I think Godaddy is the worst registrar while they are taking the highest renewal fee! What do you think?

Yes, I agree. Godaddy sucks you in with very, very low registration fees but then the renewal fees are not low. I registered a domain for 9yuan (just over $1), and the renewal fees for next year are over 30x that amount!

I will have to agree with you that the renewal fee of godaddy is much higher than other domains providers such as NameCheaper etc but if you need a for a short period of time then you may go through godaddy otherwise you may go through other websites like NameCheaper etc.

If you thinking long term than you should consider domain name price for renewal also so that you can balance the price for next renewing years and I think that you need to research about it too. This is how a domain can be cheap but if you want 1-year cheap domain that you can choose anyone you find low prices.

I heard many bad things about Godaddy to be honest. One of the issue I have with them is that it's hard to transfer domain to another registrar, I go with Namecheap on this one.

I have moved domains from Godaddy before, without issue.

One thing they used to do, and probably still do, is stop you moving a domain when it is almost expired, but I think lots of domain registrars do this.

You can see on their forum that a lot of people are having difficulty in moving their domain name to another registrar. My friend is also one of the victim.

Namecheap and Hostinger are quite cheap to try. Godaddy and Hosgator offers very minimal but I think they have conditions. ultimately you have to pay as regulare just first year less than a dollar.

Yes , I would be extremely interested in exactly the problem faced, were they tring to move the domain just before expiry, or does godaddy give problems at other times too?

Namecheap is a nice solution you can consider. Godaddy has both reputation and complains. Never tried but one of my friends work for name.com you can check that too optionally.

I used Godaddy much then turned into hostinger for lower price and as it accepted bitcoin in early time. Their service is not bad. I've heard that hostgator also a good one to choose.

You can register domain name at fasthosts for $2.45 but it is only limited to one per customer or try 123 reg if you are a new customer
