While trying to sign up on some sites , there is an option for o e to create an account or easily sign up using social media accounts like Facebook , Twitter and Instagram.
The problem with using g social media account is that it can put your social media account at risk , but is a faster method though .
Which do you normally use ; social media account or creating an account ?

Creating an account is far better because you can easily control your information you give out..... There are some information on your social media accounts you won't want to give out easily so it's best to create an account

Well this is true but they also gives option for one to control the information available to the site while singing up using social media . the problem is that the account may be hacked .

i would still suggest creating a new whole account, that would atleast save your personal account if the website gets hacked, but login in with an existing social media account would facilitate login in, but it's not recommended

The reason many companies today request people to sign up via their social media accounts is to allow them to check whether the profile is genuine or fake.

But now days, some people use fake profile on their social media accounts for privacy sake.

So when companies request you to sign up strictly with your social media account, it is always advisable to check if the company is genuine. Check the company's facebook official page and twitter profile to know the updates. If you are satisfied with the results, go ahead to sign up or create your account with the company.

The social media pages of the company or sites can be forged as well .
Scammers are in most cases very smart to make everything appear legit , in order to deceive people .

As for me, it is better to create an account of your own, rather than creating one via your social media account. We have heard several people complaining of their social media accounts being hacked after signing up on a website. Consider how you will feel if you lose your social media account that you have been laboring upon to build for years. The damage may cost you your business and reputation.
Very true , however there are some sites that registration is stress , when you are creating account than using social medias . and there are some that won't even allow you to create account but to use social media .

not only that, but they also use the same profile details to assign them to the same account in the website, so you save yourself setting that manually

First ensure to check the company website is Legit and from there you need to check their social media profiles. If the company is Legit, it will surely direct you to their social media profiles. That is if the company has listed their social media presence on the website.

In the end both are the same, since your social media account is also linked to your email address. When it comes to fishy site, I'd rather use plain email than registering with my social media account since that won't endanger my social media account.

I would also recommend creating a manual account for yourself so that some of your personal information is discreet.Regardless I would also recommend you check out the site portfolio before just signing up to it.

Hmm. If they can hack your email address they will have access to your social media account , all they need to do is to request for password reset via email . from there the work will be done .

You have the needed point. It is better to register direct on a websites.I do not believe it is good to take chances. There Hackers every where. When one use this social media,to register, these bad elements are able to monitor your activities.I would advice we go the extra mile to register directly on a website but there is a new concept that Facebook now where u can generate a code that makes hacking your Facebook account impossible.Research on his to have an edge over these Hackers(Enemies of progress)

What if I don't have any social media account linked to that email? Always have multiple email addresses for multiple purposes. I try to separate my personal life with my professional one.

Oh! That's a smart move then , I think with that you ate 100% safe . I also have more than one email , but they are all connected to my social media account . henceforth will follow your strategy.

Creating own account is much safer some sites may have shady terms and condition which maximum people wont even read. Your important data may be collected as you may give them permission to your social media sites without even knowing so not linking is the best option

I prefer creating my own account than signing up using a social media account. This is because I can hide some information that I would not want to leak while creating an account. I think it is safer that way.

Submitting your own account wouldn't be easy as using your social media account like facebook, but the likelihood of
getting to risk uncover your personal identity would be lesser.

Creating account may be be stressful but it is good as you get to enter all your details in full but using a social media account may be helpful especially for freelamcing sites where u can connect your account to your social media account to further reassure your clients you are a professional and not a robot
