Among the tools they use I know for sure they use this tool called domcop.com to catch expired domains with good SEO metrics(Majestic, Mox, Alexa, Ahrefs etc...)

Good information you have given here. There is a site called 'expireddomains.net.' Here you get to see and monitor domains, however you need to be very fast since you are not the only one interested or monitoring these domains. There are always millions of domains expiring daily, but the problem is to get a good one from these millions. If you like a domain which is expiring soon, but yet in the 'grace period,' you can 'back order' it and have a better chance of registering it when the owner fails to register it during that period.

Also, there is a site/company. I think the name is 'dropcatch,' they are good at catching all the good domain names, after which they would go back and sell for some profits. It's all about business after all.

I think expired domains list on godaddy is worth checking out. You can definitely find a lot of domains over there. And most of them are worth going through. though prices over there are too much. so not worth making use of if you ask me. but you can definitely try it out and see if that's something you can use.
