Where To Sell Domain Names.jpg

Have you ever bought some domain names and held on to them? Now that you own these domain names have you ever wondered if you can actually make money selling them?

Domain name buying and selling is a very lucrative business and can earn you quite a bit of money online if you know what you are doing and how to buy up cheap domains and sell them again.

There are many people who search online for the perfect domain name. However, the best names are either in use or a person has purchased them and is willing to sell them off. You don't have a choice if you want this domain name. You either buy the name from the person who is selling it, or you choose another name.

Where To Sell Domain Names To Make Money:

Godaddy Auction: This is a useful function of the Godaddy website hosting company. It allows people to buy or sell domain names easily. The yearly membership cost $4.99. As a member of the site, you can bid on domain names, purchase domain names or even sell them off. The site takes a commission for each domain name sold. If you sold the domain name for under $5000 the site will earn a 15% commission from you. However, if the price is over $5000 the commission rate is quite high and it is calculated differently.

Flippa Marketplace: Flippa is one of the most popular domain marketplaces online. You can buy or sell domain names, buy or sell websites, apps, and Amazon FBA in the marketplace. In order to buy or sell on this site, they require a small listing fee. The fees are based on a few criteria. If the website is established if it is a starter site, a domain name or an app. You will pay one fee for the auction listing and another for listing it in the classified section. There is a 15% commission for selling on the site, however, if you use their escrow account the commission is reduced to 12%.

SEDO Marketplace: This is a great marketplace for buying or selling domain names. The site doesn't require you to pay a listing price or even a membership. However, when the domain name is sold, you will pay a commission to the site. The commission rates vary depending on how much you sold the domain name for and the TLD that was made.

NamePros: This is an online forum where you can buy and sell your domain names. The forum won't charge you a commission when you sell your domain names, however, you do need to pay a membership in order to sell on this forum.

NameCheap Marketplace: This company is very popular as a domain name registrar and hosting company. If you have a domain name registered with this site, you can easily sell the name and not pay any fees at all.

ETFY: This is yet another company that helps you manage and sell your domain names. They have a monthly fee that you must pay in order to list on this site. They don't charge you a commission, however, you are paying a monthly fee to keep your marketplace opened.

From my little experience, GoDaddy seems to have the best reputation and are therefore trusted by a lot of buyers. It would be wise to make sure you just list with them, especially if you do not want your own reputation online for being credible yet.
Nice info. But I have problem on payment method on this site.

I will advise you to go over to afternic to sell your domain name if it is brandable one. This website has a lot of potential client who will be interested in the domain name you bring it to the marketplace. I make use of DAN anytime I want to sell geographical location domain name.

A large number of people look for the ideal domain name online.
The finest names, however, are either already in use or owned by someone who is prepared to sell them.
If you want this domain name, you have no other option.
You can either choose a different name or purchase the name from the seller.

Hello, I emailed Afternic and didnt get a response. A scammer put my 10 years old domain (It has 6 letters. Two dictionary words) on that site for 10k and it's appearing for sale on many marketplaces including my domain register's marketplace. They don't ask people for proof before listing domains for sale and that's not good. They could at least ask them to confirm by using the domain's email. I was planning to sell my domain later at other marketplaces but i'm not sure if I'll be able to do that. I didnt even know that my domain is premium before all this.

There are various online marketplaces where you can sell domain names, such as Sedo, GoDaddy Auctions, Flippa, Namecheap Marketplace, and Afternic. You can also try reaching out to potential buyers directly or through a domain broker. It's important to price your domain name appropriately and provide accurate information about its history and value.

There are several ways to dispose your domain name if necessary. There are reputable domain name marketplace like sedo, flippa or GoDaddy auctions. You can also sell it on forum marketplace like BMF marketplace.

In my oppinion, I prefer Brandbucket if one can wait and unleash smashing logo to attract customers. Profit is just huge there. I suggest from profot buy secret word brand domains and design logo and put it in line for $1000 to $40000 (they have premium listings too) depending on domsin name logo appeal and how it can fit a business. Also quick earners can choose below $1000 the cheapest domains are sold faster.

Hi that site looks cool. Did you sell on there?. Why do they need my real name at signup?. I don't feel comfortable giving my name. I saw that some of these marketplaces display the sellers real name with the domain. Do they ask for other personal info?.

I just notice that they want our phone numbers too.

If your domain names are good and affordable, you can sell it directly to people who need them. Most people are in need of domains for their brands so will buy yours if it's cheap. You can sell on forums like BMF.

The few i know are:
1.Namecheap: Namecheap is a popular domain registrar that also offers a marketplace for buying and selling domains. For very cheap rates.
2.GoDaddy: GoDaddy is another popular domain registrar that offers a marketplace for buying and selling domains. They have very reasonable prices.

GoDaddy, Sedo, or Flippa are marketplaces that allow you to list your domain for sale and reach a large number of potential buyers. Alternatively, you can try to sell your domain directly to a buyer. You can do this by reaching out to potential buyers through a variety of channels, such as email, social media, or even cold calling.

There are variety of market place to actually sell domain names , I think the market places are actually flippa no doubt , go daddy and many more , but you should be careful so you are actually not going to sell in a wrong platform too I think

If you want to sell. domain names I think using trusted sites with big traffic would be better Seddon is a big marketplace for selling domain names and there is also like go Daddy is another site these both sites would be best for selling domain names
Go Daddy is limited to PayPal and Credit cards so does Seddon adopt crypto payments. If this is something not true and does not differ from Godaddy, you could enlighten us about this point.
