So I have just downloaded the coin market app, on looking through the list of endless different currencies I have seen so many that I have never even heard of! Most of the regular platforms only deal with the major currencies such at BTW and eth etc. But is there any platforms that are safe that do trade all these smaller currencies?

Yeah I know what crypto currencies are, but I only thought there was 4 or 5 different types lol since coming on this forum and downloading that app, I see that are thousands of different currencies...
Most of the platforms only trade the main crypto currencies, my question is which platforms deal with the currencies nobody has ever heard of such as kashhcoin for example... Or even flappy coin lol a coin made around a game is crazy lol

Those are in-app/game coins.
If they are not scam they will provide a way to convert them into BTC or Satoshi.
Look for a way to withdraw them. If couldn't find any stay away from them.

These coins are crypto currencies. Theree are many trading platforms like bittrex poloniex where you can trade your crypto coins and earn profit.

Blocktrades and binance are two good places where some limited amount of currencies are being sold. I'd say on that note it's good to see some of the currencies which are in demand being sold there. I would surely choose some of them in that case.

I mainly use Bittrex for trading. It has alot of coins , maybe around 200. HitBTC also has many coins but the exchange is shady so i dont usually use them. There is also Binance which has also many coins and also lower trading fees than Bittrex. Lastly the new exchange Kucoin has the best UI from all the exchanges. The coins listed at Kucoin mostly are the ones that just finished their ico .

Well honestly it's gotta be hard to find an exchange for the unknown or unpopular ones, unless the developer creates and launches their own exchange project so you could exchange it to a more known cryptocurrency.

I think you're looking to trade the small cap altcoins? Exchanges like Bittrex as yishak already said, and then Cryptopia and similar, these are small exchanges, less secure , and recently were actually hacked. So be careful. For trading, try Bitfinex and Binance, probably the biggest and best.
Shapeshift seems to be one that I prefer to use for the alt currency selling. There seems to be many small currencies being sold. And those currencies can be sold for low cost. These days I am also planning to sell the DASH that I have managed to hoard for some time. In future maybe use their service for the same.

Shapeshift now requires identity verification after legal pressure from government agencies. I would prefer Binance as you can make trades and withdraw without and troublesome KYC process.

There are many trading websites to trade those small crypto currency.
Let me introduce you to the two trading websites I do use.
Binance and Hitbtc. The two are good. But I prefer Binance because you buy and sell with same price. Unlike Hitbtc where the selling price is lower to the buying price.
They are both good and trusted
