I really love reading and I presently have so many old books which I would love to sell and buy new ones from the money that I receive. I am thinking about online selling. My friend suggested a website but however he never sold any books over there. I think he bought a couple of books from there. I have been searching for another website over the last few days but didn't come across one that I can trust. I really want to sell those books and acquire new ones. Have you ever tried to sell any of your books online? Which websites did you use to do so?

When it is about selling old books, I prefer them being sold to the people I know, so personally I would prefer using WhatsApp since it will be mostly people on my contact or Facebook where they are largely my acquaintances.

Would you care to share why that is your preference if you don't mind,I mean If you had a good deal that someone was offering you a reasonable amount and you have to ship to a particular country that would not be thing you would do?

To be honest, I doubt I would even like to sell any of my books but if I would consider it, it would be to someone who I am sure would use them well. I probably don't make sense but I am just that sentimental when it comes to my books.

why do you say its someone that will them well,once you have market your books you have market it,its not of anyone business if you use it well or not,if you are into ebook business then you can search for the ways to market your books on google you can also use amazon.

Thanks for the correctionn but I think that ebooks is also books lol,first I think selling books for money maybe profitable but there is this problem how informative and important your books is determine how you can get potential buyers,If you have an old books them try see if its what people are looking for then offer it to them you can just wake up and decide to sell a book when the buyers are not requesting for that particular content it must be from the content the buyer want.

You have a very valid point. My partner once needed an old maths textbook from the late 80s to early 90s and was so desperate he could have paid anything for it. I guess that is a situation where selling old books could be very profitable.

I agree with you. It is best to sell them to people we know as it is easier to convince them to buy and we can deliver the books easily. Whatsapp and facebook give us an opportunity to reach those people.

You are correct it is better we sell them to people we know,but when its come to books that is been produce in large volume then you can consider extending your promotion and carriedout awareness in some other directory that can help you market the books successfully,amazon is one of the place depending on the content of the books

I agree with you. Your own books that you have written and produced in large numbers are better sold in the large market such as amazon. Only second hand books are the ones I am saying they can sell well among your friends and acquintances.

He was asking of the particular place where he can sell his books online,If you want to sell the books in large number then why not call someone that is a marketer and know how to market books negotiate with him and allow him to handle the marketing process himself

I buy your idea bro if the books come in large quantity I think that the better option is for you to call the buyer negotiate with him and sell your books,he can even do the marketing for you or try create a blog in that books niched and advertise your blogs if someone need that information he can then buy from you

selling of books is a good business but if you want to do that online then you must know one funny thing its going to take you some effort if you want to do it the right way design a blog in the name of that books promote that blogs on social media when people visit that blog they can generate you a sale.or you try forum and email marketing that is sending mass email to those that may accept to buy the books

Not only that you will rely online for that you can also meet people to help you buy the books offline but for online I think forum and some popular social media is the best you can also advertise on youtube make a short video that explain the content of the book then market it for sure.

what are you talking about I think what you mean here is book that is writen offline in this case you must have a book presentation or luch during the book luch you must have someone that will help you do that marketing you can also let some people know about it offline

Amazon is a big deal not doubt but the issue is how was your experience with them I have not use them before,dose it require any upfront fee to sell there?well I fine it easy to sell with my blogs I publish the link of my ebook in my blogs then advertise the blogs on social media then people visit the blog and buy the ebooks direct,what do you think about that,thou sometime its hard to make a sale with this strategy.
