WhatUsersDo is a website, apps or prototype testing platform where you will be testing different website and apps for usability. The tests are done with a desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. You can apply to become a usability tester if you live in the United States, the UK, France, Germany or the Netherlands. The company uses a software recording package that must be downloaded and installed on your computer. You will also need a microphone in order to do this job. Each test requires you to record your screen and talk during the test. You will follow a set of instructions and record your thoughts as you are doing each test.

How Does it Work?

• If you live in one of the countries named above, you can register with this site.
• Submit your application to the company.
• In order to finish the application process, you must take a user test and send this to the company.
• In order to do the test, you'll need to download and install the recording software on your computer.
• You'll need a microphone to do the test.
• Once you start the test it must be completed.
• During the test, you can start and top the screen recorder to read the instructions.
• Each instruction that is given to you must be completed.
• You must talk during the test and tell the company what you are seeing, if you have any issues, and what you think of the site. This is the most important part of the test. The company wants to make sure you can tell a person about the site and what you feel about this. You need to be honest and tell them exactly what you see and how hard or easy the site is to you.
• You will receive your test results back from the company in the form of an email. You will find out if you've passed or failed the test.
• Once you've passed the test, your name will go into the tester pool. At this time you'll need to sit back and just wait for the company to invite you to take a test.

How Do You Earn?

• Normally a person receives 3 to 5 invitations each month.
• You will test different website or even apps.
• The amount of money you earn is supplied with the test.
• Each test takes around 20 minutes to complete.

How Are You Paid?

• The company pays once a month.
• On the 25th of each month, you'll receive your money to your PayPal account. if this fall on a weekend or a holiday, you'll be paid on the next business day for the company.

I have signed up to this site months ago and I did one single test worth $3, almost nothing. Almost one month since I've done it and haven't got paid just yet. So, I am not impressed by it really.

Sorry to hear that, it's very different to my own experience. The first time I accidentally got my Paypal email wrong and didn't get paid. I corrected it as soon as I noticed and got the money the next month. I get at least one test every week or so. It's weird how we can have such vastly different experiences of the same websites, but I guess that's why you have to do a lot of research to figure out what works best for you. There are lots of other user testing websites available if it's something you're keen to do. User Testing is my favourite.

Although you won't find a steady stream of work or projects, even just getting one a day is good enough. With £8 a day, that's almost what I do everyday spending 8-12 hours on my laptop. So I am very much appreciative of enough sharing other money-making opportunities.

I have a question though, since the site or work os available for tablets and phones, do you also need to have a headset and software to record your tasks on your phone? I mean, is that even possible? Or you just answer a survey after testing a site? If so, then that's more convenient for people who don't have a laptop or headset.

Anyway, I hope this site becomes available for my country soon. There's only China in the list that is an Asian country.

Just today I e-mailed them about my $3 for a test I took 1 month ago and still unpaid... So far the grant total working with them is $0!!!

The only other similar website I've tried is usertesting. They did require a headset with a working mic. They only provided their own software that you need to download so that they can record your screen. So I expect this to be the same case here.

What Users Do require you to install Mobizen on your phone, free software that can mirror it to your computer. It's simple to set up and they show you how in a video. Then you use your headset and record like normal. On User Testing they actually record directly from your phone and you can just talk to it for it to work. I'd like to see more options that don't require you to record as well, but it's useful for website owners to be able to see exactly what you're doing. For example, if you're taking a while to figure out how to find something then they can see where you try to look first and learn from that. The sites I did try that don't require you to record anything seem to get very few jobs on them and pay much less. Enroll was the name of one of the sites I tried.

For example: for any test completed and accepted in May, we will send payment to you on 25th June. If you were expecting a payment please allow 5 working days before contacting us to investigate.

Wow, you are right, but that is insane! So basically they take eventually 2 months to pay us, that's the site that takes the longer to pay that I know...!

I heard about this site a long time ago. However, it doesn't accept Filipino members. I love user testing or usability testing as I did some jobs before. Perhaps they prefer other countries.

From what I have read leared that they need microphone and webcam. So based on that requirement it'd harder to join them. I mean it's not always possible to test site without noise and those stuff around.

yes but i have no probleme recording my voice because i live alone and like i said this is better than these ptc and survey scam website than you for your reply
