There was a report recently( 2 days ago) from a news channel that holding , buying , selling , trading any cryptocurrency in India would lead to 10 year imprisonment.
I dont know how far this news is true . But Indian government are always against the use of cryptocurrency. This was not an official news. If suppose crypto really get banned , people would be in confusion on how to trade their crypto . And many Indian users have done KYC in coinbase and blockchain , will that be any kind of problem if crypto gets banned in India. I know some of the indirect ways to buy or sell bitcoin through paypal , I want to some other ways to trade crypto if it gets banned in future.

Such laws seem harsh and unforgiving on paper, but I doubt that they can be fully executed and implemented. What's the government going to do, search everyone's computer for a trace of a cryptocurrency wallet? The law will likely remain a paper tiger due to its difficulty to be carried out.

It was then called fake news and now the government has even decided to teach about cryptocurrencies to the high school children . There are always rumours around , and its an abvious that no one can ban bitcoins.

Although, I am not that much of a fan of cryptocurrencies and hardly know a few things about these still I like the free and Independent trading of these as its one of the most popular ways to make money online and I wish the Indian government can work like for example how the Philippines Government is handling the affairs related to cryptocurrencies.

We can't blame government, the risk involve with dealing with Bitcoin has made the government frowns at the use of Bitcoin in some countries. In my country it is banned too,so we just have to only use it online.

If cryptocurrency gets banned suddenly in a country , there's nothing to worry because you have foreign exchanger sites that you can rely on. Or else you can ask friend / relative who settled abroad to sell cryptocurrency for you.
