Hello guys,
I've just installed an SSL certificate on a website of mine and fixed all the mixed contents problems, everything looks fine.
Just wonder if I have to tell search engines (specially google) to update my domain link in their database!
Because google still have the old http links and I don't know if google will update my domain link automatically or not!
Thanks for your time, hopefully this helps someone in the future!

The old http link will still work but visitors will be automatically redirected to the site with the new link. The old link doesn't affect anything. Your site is still secure.

Yes that's right, all search engines updated my domain URL in their databases and my visitors now are enjoying secure connection experience.

That's good to know. I was also worried about that few months ago but I learned from blogger that the old http has no effect. If you get your website hosted by a third party, then your secured connection might be affected.

You don't have to tell searching engine anything. They are going to sort it out on their own. Make sure your google analytics and the google search console are updated with the new SSL changes. Like you got a new HTTPS now. so they ened to be updated for the data crawl. that way you won't miss on some of the updaates. same can be done for the bing as well. I think you have to wait and see after some of the time.

You don't need to tell Google about SSL changed, they will find it themself and they will do it.
And about what you will do next, well you can add Cloudflare protection to make your website faster and more secure.

Never had pre-knowledge about this had to read about it,yes, you don't need to do anything.Google would it work without your input. So you can leave it at that.
