I have run into this NUMEROUS times where a merchant tells me "yeah, we can accept any kind of card whether you're using us monthly or transparently". I run a few and then bam...they tell me they can't process cards for me if they are prepaid cards (even if I KNOW the company or people buying them and using them for legal and legitimate reasons).
It's ridiculous and the most backwards and counter-productive thing I have ever seen from a banking or financial institution - ever. And yet, I see that the larger businesses are able to run and process as many of these as they want without any kind of problems or restrictions whatsoever.
Is there a certain "club" you have to be in to be able to process these to where games are played and small business people are not "allowed" to accept them, or is there actually a way to do this without spending them only on purchases from those larger companies and "clubs" that they exclude small businesses and individuals from being in?
Any suggestions to legitimate merchants that will process prepaid visa cards just like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and the rest who have "special privileges" can would be greatly appreciated.
