Being a salesperson is a very challenging profession. You need to find out potential customers, then explain them your prodcts features and converrs them to buyers. The procedure though looks simple, but it requires a lot of effort. Following are the qualities that a salesperson should possess.

1. Polite and humble behaviour with customers.
2. Detailed knowledge about the product
3. Problem solving capabilities.
4. Well verse of many languages, typically local languages where he wants to sell products.
5. Nice personality and Nice appearances.
 
You have said all. To be a good sales person is not a easy task because one must have some qualities such as good communication, tolerance, customer care, considering, patience etc.

I think the major thing that makes you a good salesperson Is your ability to make a sale in the most unlikeliest of ways. Overall you should have a very convincing approach.
 
There are numerous qualities that makes a hood sales person. A hood sales person must be smart and intelligent in attending to different needs of customers at a time. A good sales person must be reliable and trustworthy to run and manage all business resources in his care.
 
Someone that is able to convince his potential customers to make a purchase. If you can continuously make sales and make your old customers keep coming back, then you are a good salesperson.
 
I have admitted long ago that I am not good in sales because I do not have the gift of gab. I know of people who are good conversationalist that they know the trick on persuading people. It is not easy to sell insurance or a musical instrument but I have seen those good sales people who are doing great in selling such products.
 
A sales person is a company's representative. He or she must posses some qualities which can help in the line of duty, some of these qualities include:

2 Ability to satisfy customers needs.

4 He or she must have an in-depth knowledge on the products marketed
5 Responsible and disciplined

Most of the qualities to become a good sale person is just what you have mentioned. He or she must be polite and humble. Good in communication and at the same time must have listening ear. And you must be a sweet talker.

The qualities you mentioned can be learned and acquired,to be a good person with defined quality you must build your character and must be dynamic in approach.
 
Those are very good qualities that a sales person should actually have. It all truly starts from how he looks. He should be very presentable. Then followed by the language that the person, speaks, it should be one that is well understood by the potential customers. Then the way they also speak should be polite.
 
A sales person needs to be a person of good tolerance and should learn to tolerate others and have good communication skills when doing business with the customers

With all these qualities that you mentioned, there is high probability of making a good sales person. To crown this all, there should be quality of being patient. This is because there are many types of customers that will be patronizing the sales person. There may even be some people that may get into his nerve, he needs patience to solve this.

Yes customers tend to feel more at ease and relaxed whenever they come across someone that is friendly, this would also give them a reason to refer someone. Most times cause of how you relate with them, they would refer you to others even without them knowing they are doing it.
 
How you relate with people and interact with your clients is the benchmark most people use to rate a good sales person. From my perspective I feel a good sales person should be an all round knowledgeable person that understand the rudiments and concepts of business to the point of goin extra miles to please their clients.
