Deciding whether cryptocurrency site is legitimate is one of the main concerns that anyone within the cryptocurrency space has been faced with at some point or the other. Sites can range from paid to click sites or even exchange sites. Therefore it is essential that you ensure that the website you are getting involved in is legitimate and one that will not compromise your funds or your machine in any way. What method do you use to check if a site is legitimate?

For me personally I tend to rely on online research mainly and forums such as this one where people are able to post a proof of payment and also there are many users that provide the experience with the site. Therefore if there are specific members that are here just to advocate and to advertise the site they will be other members that will provide you with a clear indication of what the actual site is and their experience.

I work in several sites and all of them are legitmate. But I when first came to this world of crypto, I wasted a lot of time on scam sites. Before working in a site, you should do some research in google or youtube about is the site legit. If the site is saying that it will only pay if you buy a membership or if you refer 100 person, then don't work in that site because it might be a ponzi or a scam

Forums , trustpilot , reviews on Internet are some of the ways one can know if the cryptocurrency site is legitimate or not. People post payment proofs in forum which helps in determining the site is legit or not. Other than that , once can avoid investment sites looking fishy and too good to be true.

That's the right approach! You need to do your own research, of course you can trust crowd intelligence since unhappy users will bubble up. But if a side pay for trust pilot reviews they become worthless. Anyway if they want first your money to pay you something is wrong

These are the main sites from where we can get information, real information. But user reviews have become untrustworthy, as many sites are using micro job sites for faking comments and feedbacks.

Yeah something things require just commonsense to judge whether a site is legit or scam if they ask for investment from our side , there's something fishy about the site.

One thing i have noticed online is that most times payment proof dosent determine if a site is legit or not , there could be a scam platform with payment proof , one method is to check the site rating on many forum

There is so many ways to trick you. Fake user feedback and rating, fake payment proofs etc. It becomes more tough for us to judge whether it is really legit or not.

Do you trust trustpilot? It is the best rating website. When I was doing micro jobbing in a site, I have found a task where I was asked give positive comment and 5 star rating to a website.

That is why to check on multiple sites and not only trust pilot , until you are convinced you can also even check on social media to get more information about the platform

If we can't trust pilot, then there is a chance other sites are manipulated too. I understand your point, I jus want to show you that it has become now a days to judge a site by users reviews.

That's where communities like this becomes important. Here you find a strong user voice, where also negative comments bubble up quite fast. Also there fake comments exists but there are mostly from first post socket puppets. But if a forum member with a positive track record rates a site, it weights more for me than a one-post user.

By the end, as others said, its all about reputation and if it looks the reputation is not a bought reputation. Additional there are some criteria, that directly make me to step away from a site, like if they ask for a upfront pay or any proof-of-whatever.

Nicely explained. Our community will give pure reviews and feedback. One can't be a false reporter here because we all know which site is legit which site is not.

yeah, even though there are exceptions. On Dutchy's Autofaucet, you get social job credits if you post in forums. For me this stinks, cuz it creates bought reputation. Well Dutchy is around since ages and I am trust them but if there would be a new side doing this, at least it gives some bad taste...

I Never heard of dutchy autofaucet? Is that a forum? I have seen some micro jobbing sites doing such nonsense work, but never heard any forum also doing the same.

Normally you get to know about a site by advertisement but one must do more research on it before believing it as a site you can go for. The first thing I do is I ask about people who have heard about the site and have had experience about it because sometimes google doesn't tell the true nature of it. I believe in experience.

Any new coins needs to be analysed. There are so many fake of these coins in the market that I have stopped checking for those coins. Most of them have no future and rest of them are scams.

I agree to what you said. The fake coins are in very large number and this is very risky to invest. We don't even know how to check which coin is fake and which not.
