I do understand that there are different programming languages, however, I want to know the easiest programming language for someone who is completely a newbie in programming.

SmallBasic is another useful and simple language. Learning it is even more easier. Only difference between that and modern languages is that you can't do much with the smallbasic. Just good for command line outputs. In better case you should be making use of the Python or the Visual Basic.net. This way you learn more and those are also easy as well.

Just like majority as suggested, if you are intending to use the Language in creating serious applications, i would suggest learning Python or JavaScript, both are very popular, powerful and easy to learn. If you are just starting out and just want to have a feeling of what programming is then you can check out Basic.

The 5 Easiest Programming Languages
So, now that we know the high demand for programmers, let's look at the six languages which are not only easy but are extremely popular as well: You can start C Pragram.

JavaScript
Python
Ruby on Rails
Java
C
C++

I found C and C++ programming language easier to learn than java or python , i have started to study C++ right from my high school , so i am somewhat familiar with that.

php is easy and also great when starting out as you see your progress better
as most here have mentioned python is not too bad, it is used by a lot of companies and also has a great community

There is a reasons, why there exists so many programming languages. Most of them have been to solve certain kinds of problems.
My suggestion is:

If you are looking for a fast success, use Python

If you want a solid foundation to become a master developer, use C

If you are looking for a job or want to develop mobile apps, use Java

If you want to develop front-end web-applications, us JavaScript

If you want to build fastly your first website, try Ruby

it depends on how you figure it out in your brain but ask me and i say that c++ is easy i learned it about 2 years ago and i used to play with it a lot
the more you play more you become better
i started with w3school ..... youtube tuts ... and a lynda premium account all helped me learn c++..

C, it's basically the mother of most programming languages, I'd start with some useful programs and see why they work, and stay away from hello worlds and basic courses, and get my hands dirty as soon as possible.

for my first time , i started with some basic algorithm to see how things work , after that i moved to 'C' , nothing is hard if you dedicate a little bit of time for it :)

Just by looking at the thread title, I was about to write python even before opening up the thread. Then I checked valuable feedback and responses of BMF Members, the majority is saying python. Why? Because it is literally one of the easiest languages.

it's easy indeed , but it's better if he watches or checks some courses about algorithms , so he gets an idea about the concept of programming

Surely that is a piece of great advice. Knowing about the algorithms and the concept of programming is very essential to build up a proper and solid base which will come in handy later.

I guess the easiest programming language is C/C++ in my opinion . Java is more complicated and job oriented in nature , but it's not easily understandable by everyone.

In my oppinion, a programming language easy or not depending on the developer who use it and what he/she use it for? When I was in the university, I very hate Java because it very hard for me. But now I work with it every day and found that Java is not too hard like I think before.

Hands on projects with one language first (just simple project like shopping cart or application for room chat), then try to do the same with other language and i'm sure you will find out which one is suitable (easier to do).
