I just want to host my newly created website,but the prize seems to be different for both dot(com)and dot(net) domain,what are the different between this two domain?I need a good explanation before I proceed further with the hosting to be sure of what am doing.

Contrary to popular belief, there are some differences between the two, according to this article.
Com and Net are two of the most popular domain name extensions. If your preferred dot com domain name extension is not available, then many domain name generator tools will suggest .net as the alternative.

However, it is not a suitable alternative for your business in most cases.

COM in the .com domain name represents commercial domain names. This includes all business websites, websites that want to make money online, personal websites, blogs, portfolios, and almost anything in between.

On the other hand, the NET in the .net domain name extension represents "network". It is recommended and suitable for internet, email, and networking service providers.

By default, people tend to remember .com more since its more prevalent. However nowadays anyone could go with either. Even my sites domains are mainly .net.

The most common fact about these two domains is simply popularity of .com as main domain where ever u may consider, .com is remarkable and my guess better one in quality

I think the two doesn't have much difference?, but from what I know some domain is used by certain type of website like .org for organizations , .edu for schools usually, though because .com is more popular people tend to use that , I think .net is network where it is for specific group of people?

Personally I don't see any much difference other than each name represent a purpose.
