"EOS" is a software, in cryptocurrency it is more Ethereum like Token.
It was build on 26th June 2017 by block.one, which is an exempted company of Cayman Islands.

One requires Ethereum compatible wallet for EOS Tokens; however any type of Ethereum exchange does not work for EOS.

The EOS Tokens are not designed for investment or speculative purposes. Due to some logistical challenges with USA; American citizens, residents and entities are not entitled to buy EOS.

On leading coin exchange platforms, like Bitfinex, Exrates etc, the EOS can be exchanged for BTC or USD.

EOS is seeming to be ethere killer. so far the network seems to be reliable. and working on a lot of forks. so it would be interesting to see how that works out. i am looking forward to the market cap and other things that are about to change there.

EOS is now at rank 14 in the coin market, and it is surely raising. We can invest in it becaue it is just above $10 while Ethereum already crossed $1000 and is getting out of reach of common investors.

Any faucet that we can mine this EOS? How to exchange for this EOS, can we do it at crypto exchange site? It seems very interesting and can exchange into Bitcoin is great for us.

As mentioned, EOS can be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies and even USD on different leading cryptocurrency forex platforms. Mining and faucet claims are different things.

I apologize, but I do not have any especially faucet; all I can tell the online forex where you can exchange your cryptocurrencies to EOS.

They seem to be gaining a lot of demand lately. I think it all depends on how you are pulling it of. Some of the tmes EOS price higher on some exchanges works out. And some of the time it can be a bit harder if you ask me. it's kind of hit and miss though. as of now demand in exchange is good.

Since the last fall, EOS is at Rank 9 in cryptocurrency market among all currencies, and at Rank 1 among the tokens. This is normal that such cryptocurrency is having high demand now.

EOS was valued at $10 during 2018, but later it dropped; its highest value in 2019 was above $7.39; and during 2020 its highest value was $5.34.
This year too there is chance its value will increase.

If the EOS token was not designed for investment or speculative purposes, what then was it originally designed to do? Also can it be traded for profit like other altcoins?

EOS is a strong coin back then even reaching the top 5. It's not among the top 30, and it didn't live up to what others are saying as Ethereum killer. It had $22.89 as its ATH, while its current price is now $0.8782.

Since some time, EOS has been running on 80 cents. Today EOS gained a little and crossed 89 cents, but it's not certain that it will reach 90 cents. Lately, it wasn't a long time when it dropped from $1.

Yes. Maybe Dan Larimer doesn't have that much time to improve its network. It's one of the coins that I saw as great potential then. They even came out with Voice which was supposed to become as the Steemit 2.0. However, everything are just waitlist. Now, Voice is just another NFT platform.
