Dedicated hosting and shared hosting are two types of hosting services that host websites on the internet. Dedicated hosting is a type of hosting service where the user rents an entire physical server, providing them with complete control over the server, its resources, and the websites that run on it. In dedicated hosting, the user is responsible for managing and maintaining the server, which can be time-consuming and requires technical knowledge.
On the other hand, shared hosting is a type of hosting service where multiple websites are hosted on the same physical server, and each website shares the server's resources, such as CPU, RAM, and storage. In shared hosting, the hosting provider is responsible for managing and maintaining the server, which can be beneficial for users who lack technical knowledge or want to save time and resources.
In terms of performance, dedicated hosting is often faster and more reliable than shared hosting because the user has access to all of the server's resources and can configure the server to meet their specific needs. This also means that dedicated hosting is typically more expensive than shared hosting, as the user is paying for the entire server rather than just a portion of it.
Another important difference between dedicated and shared hosting is security. In dedicated hosting, the user is responsible for securing the server and the websites hosted on it. In shared hosting, the hosting provider is responsible for securing the server and the websites hosted on it, which can be beneficial for users who lack the expertise to secure their own server.
In conclusion, dedicated hosting and shared hosting both have their pros and cons, and the choice between the two depends on the user's specific needs and resources. Dedicated hosting is ideal for large businesses, high-traffic websites, and websites that require a lot of resources and customization. Shared hosting, on the other hand, is ideal for small businesses, personal websites, and users who want to save time and resources.

Dedicated hosting is an hosting service that is used to host website on physical server while shared hosting is an hosting service that is used to host many websites on physical server. They're different in the sense that user can use dedicated hosting for big business and shared hosting for small businesses.

In dedicated hosting, you rent a server to yourself and take control of the resources of that server for the duration of your rent. In shared hosting, you share resources with others. Shared hosting is cheaper than dedicated hosting.

Just make sure, whoever you pick, to do your homework. Web hosting is kinda like going on a job interview.. "its all about being at the right place at the right time." just because 50 other people may have bad experiences, doesn't mean you will.

It can never be stressed to highly enough that nowadays, cheap web hosting plans does not necessarily mean poor quality and service.
Compare as much as possible hosting providers and choose the best.

A type of web hosting service called dedicated hosting places your web page on only one server that is solely devoted to hosting it. With dedicated hosting, you're granted complete control over and accessibility to all the server's resources, as opposed to shared web hosting, which uses a single server to host many different websites.

Multiple websites are hosted on the same server, and its products share storage space, memory, and bandwidth over shared hosting. In contrast, dedicated hosting gives you more power, privacy, and security because one server is fully dedicated to one user or website.

Multiple websites hosted on the same server could be sometimes a dangerous practice if they share the same database because if one website is compromised all data will be too.

AFAIK you don't need to manage dedicated hosting by yourself. It's different than VPS. If you rent dedicated hosting, some hosting companies will charge you a small amount of money (compared to the rent fee) for managing the server, or some will provide management for free—the difference between shared and dedicated, thus only in resource sharing. It doesn't need initial setup as in VPS as well.

Anyway, for most cases, we only need a good shared hosting package. Dedicated hosting is useful only if you have high traffic.

Because of the isolation, dedicated hosting provides superior security, but shared hosting is more prone to security breaches on one website affecting others. Because dedicated hosting provides unique access to resources, it is more expensive than shared hosting.

It depends on your needs if you are in need of dedicated hosting or shared hosting and the nature of your work, not because this is more expensive or this is cheaper so it depends if it is the dropshipping site, a blog, a Q/A site, or a development platform.

Dedicated hosting is a type of web hosting where you rent out an entire physical server for your website. This means that you have exclusive use of the server's resources, such as CPU, RAM, and storage space. This can give you better performance and reliability than shared hosting, where your website shares resources with other websites on the same server.

Dedicated hosting is a type of web hosting where you have your own dedicated server that is not shared with any other websites. In contrast, shared hosting is a more affordable option where you share a server with other websites. While shared hosting is cheaper, it can be less reliable and customizable.

I like your point. Additionally, if one website is experiencing high traffic, it could cause performance issues for the other websites. To avoid these risks, it's important to carefully consider the security and specs of each website before deciding to share a server.

Half of hosting providers provide limited brandwidth access means for example 50,000 visitors per month maximum accepted and to increase for example to 150,000 visitors per month maximum accepted you need to upgrade your plan to the next level because bandwidth costs money for the hosting provider. You could even require to solve captcha in the frontend page to have visit counted to avoid bot visitors for example.

you're talking about bandwidth caps. It's true that a lot of hosting providers do have limits on the amount of bandwidth that can be used per month. This is because, as you said, bandwidth costs money for the hosting provider. So they have to limit the amount of traffic that can go through their servers.
