What is Black Hat SEO.png

Many people have no idea what Black hat SEO is. Therefore, I'd like to try and explain how it works and what it is. If you decide to use Black Hat SEO it is a practice against all the major search engine to try and get your website to rank higher. Normally, the tactics used are unethical and will use practices like keyword stuffing, adding private link networks, and cloaking.

As a website owner, you know the importance of ranking top in search engine. In order to do this, there is a right way and a wrong way. Using Black hat SEO is the wrong way to go. There is no need to try and game the search engines to arrive on top. It is better to try and solve problems for your site visitors and legally earn your ranking for your website.

The Blackhat SEO goes against all the guideline that a search engine has set up. This method loves to manipulate the search results so they can gain higher ranking.

What Are Black Hat Techniques?

Keyword Stuffing: When a website uses keyword stuffing it means that they are filling their website with irrelevant keywords to try and manipulate the page ranking of their site. This can include adding multiple variants of the same keyword in their articles.

Phone Number: Adding tons of phone numbers in your article and not giving a substantial reason for them.

Blocks Of Cities: When a website lists block of cities or states in their article. This can include placing the site or country that they are trying to rank higher for that country.

Repeat Words: Repeating the same words so many times in the article it sounds unnatural.

Cloaking: This involves showing the search engine one piece of content and when a person visits the page another piece of content is shown to them.

Redirects: The site will send you to a different URL than the one you want.

Poor Quality Content: When a person lands on the page the content is very poor and most of the time the content is scraped from other websites online.

Paid Links: All search engines strictly ban the buying and selling of links. The Blackhat SEO will use these types of links in order to manipulate the PageRank. This is considered a link scheme and is in direct violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines.

Abusing Structured Data or Rich Snippets: This is a rich snippet and schema that will allow you to change the content and how it is displayed on search engines. This is a great way to make your content stand out. A Blackhat will use this to provide inaccurate information to entice more visitors to their pages.

Link Farms: Blackhat SEO uses link farms to get more links for their website so they can rank higher.

Private Blog Networks. With Blackhat SEO they create a bunch of PBN in order to use these blog networks to add value and links to their blog site or web pages.

How To Legally Rank With Search Engines:

Search Experience: Website search engines want people who visit your site to have an experience and make sure that your site isn't spamming them. The search engines use manual or algorithms to determine which sites use Blackhat SEO and which sites offer an experience to the visitors.

Content: Create great content that will add quality and value to your reader's experience. You need to create a good user experience on your website.

Link Building: Spend time to build relationships with other website owners and legally link your pages to their pages.

Do you or have you ever used Blackhat SEO to try and rank higher with search engines?

I heard that there are certain type of sites one should not bother with SEO cause Google don't properly rank these kind of sites. E.g Crypto Faucet, Adult Site, Web Link Archieve

Is this true?

Creating Link Wheel is also Black Hat SEO. Link Wheel is you create numerous sister sites and give backlinks to your main site through these sister sites. There are artificial backlinks which can blacklist your site from search engines.

That's not true. Google index all kind of site and it has its own algorithm to rank websites. SEO is essential for all kinds of website.

Black Hat SEO is a search engine guide that is used to get higher site rankings in search results. These unethical strategies do not solve the problems of search engines, and are often penalized by search engines.

google will cretainly ran your site if it benefits google like if you are having a crypto faucet with 10k daily unique and google taking 30% share of your income approx 10$ / day why won't google rank your site it will case it's business and profits for them

SEO are two types: 1. White Hat 2. Black Hat So, white hat means keywords which has high competition and it is tough to get rank easily as more authentic and real information google spider checked. However, black hat means keywords have no demand so you can rank easily to show your clients that you can make it top at shortest time. However, people think black hat in different negative ways.

I see some sites ranging higher on sesrch engine and I know the site owner must have done something not right on the site. Their contents are mostly not valuable or helpful but they rank higher. Black hat SEO isn't the best for any site.

You have well defined Black hat SEO. Black hat SEO is a technique that processes against to Search engine. These are black hat techniques ---
1. unrelated keywords
2. Keyword stacking and keyword stuffing
3. tiny text, hidden text, hidden links

Pbn is one of the most used by black ha marketers to grow & rank their sites in search engines , but i;m always with white hat process ,.. making guest posts to get relevant traffic is best option

Rather that using the term "unethical," I would chose the term "gaming the system". A lot of people forgot or ignore the fact that Google is not a good guy in the online industry. They are the dominant force sure, but please don't forget that there are many scandals revolving around them, one of the most recent is how they tried to rig the US election next November. They're not charity, they're for-profit company who will use whatever means necessary to obtain what they wanted. Funny how people let Google decide which action is "ethical" or not when Google themselves often skew search result for their own gain.

Haha, that's so true. The words neither "ethical" or "unethical" seem inappropriate coz that makes it sound like Google was on the top of moral hierarchy leading people's lives to moral absolutism lol... They might be called in some other way coz it's no more than "a company's guideline" and the most SEOs including me are slaves of their rules and system.

Thank you for understanding. Way too many people think that Google is some sort of God or something like that. Monopoly is never good, no matter how we look at it from economical standpoint.

I think I have seen black hat seo implemented on some sites and it exactly matches the points mentioned by the OP.I guess it only can attract the first visit but after that when the user find the BS written on the site, they quickly move on.I think this desperate SEO technique does more harm than good.

That's only applies for the "keyword stuffing" methods, which, nowadays no longer that much used by black hatters. You need to understand the basic of black hat method before applying it. If you know nothing and just randomly applying random black hat method you found around the net without understanding it, then it's like shooting in the dark and hoping your bullet would hit something.

Hey there, I too wanted to know what a Black Hat SEO is and after reading the very useful information on this thread, I am well aware of what it is so, thanks for posting this thread!

we see so much people using balck hat seo right now to rank up their site and give it more visitors
but if you really want to earn money from your site or blog I don't suggest you to use those mothods because they affect your earnings so much

I think the bounce rate from an website should be a deciding factor than mere views to curb these black hat practises.A shitty website which just lures users by using this technique should learn its lesson.
