What Is A Dedicated Server.jpg

I'd like to discuss servers or in particularly dedicated servers. Since everyone is here for one reason and that is to make money online, my discussion will center around a web hosting dedicated server and what it is. There are several ways to go about this and depending on your needs, the size of your company and your budget will depend on what options you choose for yourself.

If you are a large company with a very large IT budget, it is possible that you build your own dedicated server to host your website on. However, this is very expensive and most people don't have the funds readily available to do this. Therefore, they will need to find a hosting company that can help them out.

What Is A Dedicated Server?

A web hosting company offers you a choice between hosting your website on a public server or a dedicated server. If you decide to host your site on a public server, you will be sharing this server with other website owners. However, if you are a very large company or own a very large website that receives hundreds of thousand visit per month a public server won't be able to handle the amount of traffic your site generates. Therefore, you'll need to have a dedicated server for your website.

A dedicated server is a computer that also includes a web server that you can rent each month through a hosting company. The web server will have all the necessary software and the connection to the internet that you need. This server won't be housed on your premises, but instead on the premises of the hosting company. They will maintain the server for you. Furthermore, it is their responsibility to install the updates, take care of the security, and maintain the server to keep it up and running each day.

If you can't afford to have an IT admin take care of your server, it is best to go with a hosting company. You can save money each month on your internet connection, router costs, the system securities that are necessary for the server, and most importantly your network administration costs.

The dedicated server is configured by the hosting company and you can access the server remotely. It is easy to access your dedicated server at your company or even at home if necessary. The hosting company may require you to use a specified computer system to gain access to the server. While other hosting company will give you a choice of different computer systems, you can use to access the server.

There are some hosting companies that will allow you to build your own server and use their services to maintain and keep the server running. This is a great idea if you have the funds to build your own server.

Closing:

No matter if you own your own server, or you rent a server through a hosting company, a dedicated server is only for your use. There won't be any other websites on your server and nobody will have access to this server except you. If your website attracts a very large number of visits each day, then it is necessary to have a dedicated server for your site. A shared or public server won't be able to handle the amount of traffic that your website generates.

We need to find who offer the best dedicated server hosting.
Worth taking a look at Hetzner offers, their price is good in my opinion, note you will have to manage your own dedicated server.

I think vultr, ovs and knownhost seems to be good at the dedicaated server market. And they seem to be having a good enough prices too. I'd say if you are into this space. You should definitely consider spending the money into one of these hosts.

Well, from research I think liquidweb is great,I think their offers are cheap enough with 100% uptime and power uptime, ofcourse there human support 24/7/365 and high perfornance in managing the web.

This post opens my eyes in the hosting industry. It all looks like sites with moderate traffic don't need a dedicated server since the costs of it may end up being high when compared to shared hosting. How about a dedicated IP address? Does it also require a site which millions of traffic?

A dedicated server is a type of web hosting that provides a single server exclusively for your use. Unlike shared hosting, where your website is hosted on a server that is shared with other websites, a dedicated server gives you the entire server to yourself.
