how do website flipping platforms measure what price to give for each website? what are the factors that favor price increases?

Most people determine price as earn from ads in past 6 months. But many factors determine price as domain name, content, number of regular visitors, connected social platforms, etc.

what are the factors that favor price increases?
It matters a lot how many years the site has been established for, how much profit it brings every month, how many hours it requires per week to be managed, the niche competitiveness, ways of monetization etc...

All factors mentioned are very essential factors that determines the price before flipping, I was also thinking if the domain extensions also play a key role

The outstanding one is the traffic and income of the site. A site with high traffic and income will be very easy to flip and targeted price of sale will be accomplished at no time.

Age, traffic and revenue are the most basic factors that are related to a website's price, design or so still a personal opinion that the new owner can take care of

I also read that domain with .com are easier to flip than other domain extensions regardless the age, revenue or traffic. This business is very lucrative but require adequate information.

For me if I decide to want to buy a domain I will target the dotcom domain name. It always in high demand and can easily be flipped because of it's popularity and competition.

There are a whole lot of metrics to considers, besides the obvious revenue per month there are also pagerank, verified traffic, age, number of inbound links, and some more.

Some people are trying to scam people by making the site's traffic they're selling bloated by aggressive paid ads campaign. before dropping the whole bucket after the website is sold, so be careful with that.

I believe that the domain is really important and the niche of the domain
like if you have this domain " forest dot com " and there is more than one million search for the word forest on google
you will make a ton of money out of it

No, no, no, no. It's not that simple. Domain name only is not good without website and content and numerous other metrics. If it were that easy then virtually everyone should become millionaire now.

  • The daily traffic and its quality
  • The age
  • The design
  • The way it's codded and it's possible to edit the code without any issues
  • And many more things

Daily revenue, backlinks count, domain authority metrics, the top level domain stat, keywords count and the possibility to rank based on competition difficulty.

Noted, that's true about website flipping. Everything about the site worth is put down on calculation to ascertain it's value before flipping purposes. Thanks a lot for breaking down here.

To make a website flipping worthy I think first priority is thinking or finding a way to return buyer quick ROI. Minimum a year. In my observations, I think the flipping industry now dropping because many site owners only thinking of their own interests. I think the best flipping site today is empireflippers. it is professionally executed and not instants

Factors domain flipping businesses consider: How much is current earning, How old the domain is, is it a costly one like .tv or so or .info like cheap one, it has any precious keyword in domain name or a short brand name and so on.

That's true. Domain flipping is a business, and just because a domain name is good doesn't mean it has great content or ranking.

Other factors must be considered.
