Recently there was an interview that was conducted with Elon Musk in which he spoke about the investment that he personally has with bitcoin, that SpaceX has with bitcoin and that Tesla also has with bitcoin, stating that all of them own bitcoin and see it as a good way into the future. Naturally so, as they are all his companies. He also went so far as to say that from the European banks, those with negative interest rates for Tesla bank accounts are being redirected to bitcoin investments. This is the first time that I have ever heard of this term. Does anyone in this forum know what is meant by negative interest rates? And is this a good thing from a Bitcoin price perspective? Does this show an increase in investment for Tesla into bitcoin?

I am not sure if I heard something like this during the speech but I can say that his opinion on the issue is that bitcoin can help solve the inflation in the world

I think from where you got this update, it should have been stated there what's meant by negative Interest. There is more information that should be added to the post.

I don't get it.. does that mean he's putting the funds to Bitcoin to avoid paying negative interest rates? Or he's using Bitcoin to pay for it in banks?

We can't agree to a point on what he is doing and what he plans but the important thing is that we can always stay ahead of him tbh

Maybe he is trying to make reference of those who bought shares and made a loss in transacting it , have to move to Bitcoin investment to make gain's

Perhaps.. since they can earn more from Bitcoin in short term investment than when they invest to others with no guaranteed of success. They can easily recover what they loss

Yeah It's an opportunity for them to require what they loss, and next time they would be very much careful when buying shares and also know the right investment to chase

Also Cryptocurrency market can be influenced.. buying a lot means earning a lot.. it's almost guaranteed to get almost 200% return of investment if bullish

it means are penalties for both individual accounts and businesses for their savings in bank accounts or else the bank would have to pay for this excess reserve.

Elon musk is simply downgrading BTC and promoting his own dogecoin. That's a way of causing panic to BTC holders dumping BTC for Doge.
I think that dogecoin is a pump and dump coin in my opinion and that is how many peopel are using it and that is why we see such a major rise and then fall after that as well.

It got me thinking when people attach dogecoin as been owned by Elon Musk. Dogecoin enjoyed the backing of Elon and it's not owned by him. Bitcoin is a way to jump the negative interest rates from banks.

Lol, the coin is exactly what you said. It goes up and falls down within short duration of time. That's why we need to follow it's trend to make profit.
Yeah. It is not only the coin trend that we have to keep an eye on but also the various other news events as well, as this is known to affect the cryptocurrency price as well, such as lawsuits with other coins could potentially affect bitcoin as well.

I don't think that lawsuit with a particular coin will affect Bitcoin to an extent except when the lawsuit is related to Bitcoin usage. I also hope that SEC will stop this action of lawsuit on crypto project

The major is that CTFC chairman 'Christoher said SEC isn't in the right frame to command jurisdiction on crypto coins, that it is their obligation and not SEC right, that SEC is simply overriding boundaries.

I feel probably he meant that those that are not interested in investing into Tesla company should opt for bitcoin or cryptocurrencies Investment.

This is quite interesting but I doubt SEC would bow out of what it is set to do about cryptocurrencies and that is evident in its lawsuit against ripple.

It's true, SEC aren't ready to back out, they've simply replaced CTFC when it comes to regulating cryptocurrencies and they are now popular at that.
