A massive transfer of XRP (230 million) has occurred in the past 15 hours, according to data released by the Whale Alert monitoring service. Whale Alert reported that the anonymous whales were transporting just under 230 million XRP in two large transactions. This figure corresponds to 103,144,654 dollars.
What do you think could be the reason for this movement of whales?

Similar incidents have occurred recently, and this was reported on news websites. I think the reason for this mobility is probably to be sent to security-based cold wallets.

This is a large movement, and it's just before the first hearing for the lawsuit this February, I believe.

This should be partly responsible for the rise in price of XRP suddenly.

Such transfer is done by few accounts or multiple accounts ?
Creating new XRP wallet is not advisable because XRP charges fees for activating new account. Common people will not afford it later.

Bithomp released a statement saying that both transactions were handled by Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the USA. No explanation was given regarding the reason.

The whale probably know it would get into the news and will boost the price and morale of xrp investor not to lose hope on the coin don't panic sell

Yes, I agree with you. If they were planning to dump the coin by now ripple would have been down not less than 20% but as at the coin has even increased about 15%.

I don't think there's any other reason than for a safe keep, since everyone is on the look out for a positive outcome. So safety measures it could be.

The movement wasn't any harmful movement at all because if it was, by now things wouldn't have be moving on like how they are going with ripple now.

As at yesterday another 610 million XRP was moved and one keep wondering what is going on. Just hopeful that the movement will be for good and effect positive impact

Indeed, these transfers are enormous and cause investors to wonder. Almost every day these big transfer news related to XRP are announced. Let's see what will be the truth behind these.

Let's just hope this movement recorded almost every day by the ripple whales isn't going to harm the coin in anyway but bring more good to ripple.

I'm anticipating the reasons behind this as well. I hope it will be something positive at least by 22nd it will be clear from then what tge future holds for ripple but still then it to still keep up with the news

The movement is much and I hope it will be positive in the future.
In XRP money, such whale movements can sometimes be remarkable. I don't know if it makes sense, but for now, it didn't have a positive effect on prices. Perhaps the reason for this mobility is the transfers to cold wallets for security reasons.

Just another anon moving his huge sum of money around. There's no need to speculate of what or why of this movement, big part of any crypto is privacy after all.

What I find strange about this is that they sent the XRP to Coin Base, an exchange that is located in the states. Any exchange located in the states have really strict KYC policies. They sent the XRP to a USA exchange & its the SEC from the states that are investigating XRP. If it was me, I would have sent the XRP thru a trusted exchange that is located outside the states & has little or no KYC policies. Just dont make sense.

The whales knows the reason for that, maybe they are part of the Ripple development team, maybe they flipped it to make their own profit. I just hope they aren't skeptical about the lawsuit with SEC? i believe such move won't affect the future price of XRP coin.
It will definitely affect the price of XRP, especially if they are moving it to cold storage. It means they expect to hold for a long time.
