Hello Guys,

So I Am Confused A Bit Of What To Choose ? I Have A Wix Website / A Blogger Blog / And An Old Wordpress Website,

Which Would Work Best With YouTube ? As I Plan On Hosting My Videos There And Possibly Even Run Some Giveaways,

Also I Would Like To Run Some Scripts ( But I Don't Know Which One Is Good For That )

Your Help Is Appreciated

Linking youtube is just the same to any site, whether wordpress or blogger or any other. Not any advantage over the other. The only difference is how to achieve the process; for which is easier with wordpress because of the plugins.

All of them have its own purpose and optimized for a thing. Blogger is optimized for blogging, just like its name, Wordpress also optimized for blogging, but with richer option and customization (especially if you use paid domain). Unfortunately I don't have any experience with Wix.

I think that Wordpress is more something for you. Not the Wordpress(dot)com but (dot)org, the difference between the two is that the (dot)com is managed by wordpress (no acces to the files, no plugins, very limited with what you can do with Wordpress). If we take a look at the (dot)org, you need to buy hosting and a domain (domain is same for the (dot)com) and the org version has plugins and things you will love to work with.

But keep in mind if you choose the (dot)org version. Some hosing providers have ManagedWP (Managed Wordpress) these types are also limited on the PHP and I think the plugins side too. The main goal for Managed is the security, the hosting company secures your wordpress verion better. But this is not needed, there are plenty plugins for bruteforce and other security plugins.

By script do you mean little scripts that vou load into a page? Or just scripts that take a full page? (for example a faucet)

I hope this helped you a bit ;)

Here's how you can view this.

  1. Wix, Weebly and Squarespace are hosted platforms, where you pay monthly fee and get website hosted.
  2. Self hosted is where you can use joomla, wordpress, drupal and make your own website.
  3. Blogger and wordpress.com are also like explained in 1. They can have free and paid accounts.

If you want control of your content, go with option 2. If you are new go with option 3. If you don't want to do much work go with option 1. 1 and 2 costs money. 1 being expensive 2 can be budget.

I understand that a vast majority of people will always advise you to build your website from the scratch if you have the ability. The problem is that you are definitely going to need a lot of money and time if you are not a website developer yourself for you to achieve something like this. This is why a lot of people normally go for WordPress especially when they are starting.

This is a question that comes up a lot, and it really depends on your goals and preferences. If you're just looking to create a simple website, then a website builder like Wix or Squarespace might be a good option. If you're interested in blogging, then Blogger or WordPress might be a better fit.

Wordpress is the better choice of all the options because you can customise it to make your own popular brand website and therefore you must make sure that you put all your efforts into your website if you put in efforts results will show up for you in form of a decent website.
