Trump recently revealed his position on banning the popular growing video entertainment Chinese app Tiktok accusing the app of security breach and stealing of data.
The company through his spokesperson, his exact words are ;
" TikTok US user data is stored in the US, with strict controls on employee access. TikTok's biggest investors come from the US. We are committed to protecting our users' privacy and safety as we continue working to bring joy to families and meaningful careers to those who create on our platform,"

The US Tiktok manager Vanessa Pappas also reveal they are not planning to go anywhere anytime soon.
What do you make of this?.

Oh well, it's not only the US that banned Tiktok, seems like something is wrong with tiktok, it was heavily accused for spying on people recently

well I think most of the apps are secretly spying on people and getting datas, and some are even breaching privacies of people

I hate apps or anything online that steal data and invade ones privacy. So if this what this app is all about then it should be banned. Since it a breach on privacy.

If the allegations are proven to be false after investigation , then Donald Trump has no option than to allow the tiktok to continue their business .

well president trump can't just act on personal reasons, if he does his reputation might go further down, due investigations into the allegations should be made and proper actions accordingly

If this is the case , then it all boils down to the enmity between China and US . I think the app can't be banned without Americans protesting against the ban .

The investigations will surely determine that. But truth be told, if there are justified grounds for the ban, then protesting may do little or nothing in favour of Tiktok.

Even when there is a glaring evidence against the app , those who earn more from it will want the ban lifted , because their business is affected

I think the best thing to do here is to make it open to everyone that he who wishes to use the tiktok app is using it at his or her own expense and should be ready to bear the loss that may come from it .

It shouldn't be left in the hands of the people do decide if they want to or not but Tiktok should give guarantees to the people and the stakeholders about its brand.

This I am not disputing but that banning the tiktok will affect people .

I understand your point. As to the question, I may not accept wholeheartedly but if the negative reasons outweigh the positive ones then surely I will give in.

Yeah it's best to accept it when the negative surpass the positive , because countries like this wants the best for their citizens that's the truth
