A Veteran Trader named Scott Melker says that Ethereum has a lot of bull potential in the short term. He also said that in order for him to take advantage of ethereum's growth he had been switching from bitcoin to ether in the last months. What do you think about his statement?

It is still prediction, but he fail to state the modernities of how ethereum could reach $10k, I know ethereum is doing well recently.

They are going to release ETH 2.0 later this year or the next, which will move from Proof of Work algorithm to Proof of Stake. This will address the high gas fees and also means they are moving away from mining (which uses alot of power) into staking, where anyone can leave their ETH "locked up" to validate transactions while earning a percentage over time.

I think it's very unlikely that we will see ethereum cross Bitcoin this year or even in the next year. Even if it goes over 10k$ mark, it's still a long way behind bitcoin. Though Bitcoin is a very volatile entity yet it's out of question that such anomaly can happen.

I also think the same way. I do agree however that Bitcoin has been highly volatile until now and will likely continue to remain so.
Anyway, both Ethereum and Bitcoin have many factors that contribute to their valuation.

My dear friends, despite the 5% drop in Bitcoin last April, due to the volatility factor, expert analysts have predicted an 80% rise in the year 2021.
I'm sorry, but at least in my opinion I don't think Ehereum, despite its positive moment, can have a similar percentage increase.

External factors like huge influential investors getting involved and using their reputation to promote ethereum, also bitcoin coming down too. There are many things that can happen but as I said earlier, the likeliness of such things happening isn't very high.

I have not seen many influential individual really talking about ethereum to help the price ,the only thing i could get is that the ethereum company are the ones improving their coin

Way too high to said like that. See the market and the volume being trade is kind of imposible that etherum could reach that number. Also it is hard to overtake bitcoin with etherum. Maybe this guy just want to stake etherum rather then Bitcoin cause we know that the price of Bitcoin is already high and going further..

Its better that way , you can do some profit booking so you can measure and know when to take profit and close your trade on time ,i think

I really don't think ETH will be able to overide BTC within the remaining months of this year
