There was this Nintendo game called "Cooking Mama" that was taken out by developers for mysterious reasons. People who played the game complained of their devices being overheated and the battery kept running out. They said that the game was using their devices to mine for bitcoins but the developers repeatedly denied the claim saying that this was not the case. What do you think??

Woahhh thats really smart if that is what the developers were doing because that way no user would ever get to know whats happening at the back-end but it really is bad for the users.

Nothing new as a lot of sites have hidden miners on their website that they conceal from users so that the owner can use the visitors' computing power to mine some crypto. That being said, I doubt Nintendo deliberately did this since they're an old company with reputation to uphold.

One fact is that , it is not possible to statisfy people , they will still look for a way to tarnish your image .
If actually, they were certain that , the game mines , and they have evidence to back it up , they should have sued them and make money from it .
I think , it might just be rumours spread by their competitors .

The games may cause the over heating bit if it is excessive ,it is very possible that they were using hidden miners to mine using their PC. If the subscribers Don't have proofs they should quit the games , the developers will find a way to fix it.

There is one fact that it appears , as if we are forgetting . most games do cause overheating too. Even so apps do so , so this is not actually the first time we are experiencing this , I believe there are more to these claims , that people don't know .

There's a possibility that a hacker injected some form of hidden miner into the game's source code. Nintendo is a good company, I doubt they willingly do something like this.

Exactly , for the fact that they have publicly denied the rumours , for the fact that , no users had enough evidence to prove that , makes them innocent . this is the work of other competitors , who wants to label the company bad .

Nah, I doubt it's the work of a competitor, maybe an amateur hacker who don't have the expertise to hack yet was the one who done it. Since he's injecting miner, his main goal is money.

If this should be the case , then it now shows that Nintendo programmers failed to secure their games very well , which gave room for hackers to access , and inject their own program there .
I doubt this is the case , every company tries to secure their products from hackers .

And humans are imperfect, that includes programmers. No companies ever want to get their softwares hacked, and yet humans make mistakes all the time. There's not a single software which is hacker-proof no matter how many works you pour into them.

Well that's true though . I believe that by now , Nintendo should endeavor to check the complaints, to confirm if there was actually a problem wrong with the game , and find a way to satisfy their customers. Less they may lose some of them

Installing good antiminer software into most of these games , apps and browsers is highly needed now since hackers can free hack into trending apps to inject hidden mining softwares.

i read about that, all of these are just rumours and false accusations, he wouldn't lose all the money he could receive from the game to mine few crypto, especially that the hardware used in Nintendo isn't that powerful to generate a decent mining result

I am almost 100% sure that Nintendo did not program any miners in their games, they have a good reputation that they will not throw overboard for just a few coins. To me they are unfounded allegations to try to build a bad opinion about Nintendo, just that.
Mining software is very scattered on the internet, I have a blog in which I have mining, but I warn the visitor that the software will not overheat their equipment or use excessive resources, maximum 5% of what they do not use.

If the company has good reputation as stated by you guys here then very like the hackers are behind the glitch, I hope Nintendo will be able to find solutions to this challenges.

Nintendo is a good company with a good reputation and I believe that they won't have anything to do with this issue . It is the work of competitors or hackers

that's some news some people use your devices with permission and some without it , when brave got complaints of adding affiliate links they reacted the same . everyone is in to make money any way they can

This might be false because there isnt enough proof that it is true , if those users notice things like this they should uninstall the game
