UserCrowd was rebranded not long ago. The company changed their name from UsibilityHub to UserCrowd. When they did this it seems that the site now has more tests that you can take. This is an international website and anyone can join. Here you will be doing really short user tests on websites or even apps. They can even ask you for your opinion on different logos or other types of information a developer is looking for the opinion from the public.

How Does it Work?
  • Like all sites, you must first join.
  • Here you can only join with your email address and password.
  • The site will ask you several questions regarding your age, your country, and what languages you speak.
  • They will also make you verify our phone number. You must enter your phone number and they will send you an SMS with a verification code. Before you can finish the sign-up process you must enter this code.
  • The site will verify your time zone and set this up for you.
  • They will also want to know how many hours you work on your computer each day.
  • They ask you if you want to set up your push notifications on the site.
  • This is a really good idea. If you have them turned on you can receive notifications of a new test that is available for you to take.
How Do The Tests Work?
  • The tests are super simple and easy to take. You don't need a screen recorder or even a microphone to take the tests. They are all done in your web browser.
  • The company can show you a website for a few seconds. After this, they will give you a few questions to answer. The questions are simple and deal with what you remember about the website you just saw.
  • Normally, it takes less than a minute to take the test and give your feedback.
  • You can also be shown a logo or a set of logos and asked which one you like better. You must give your feedback and tell them why you like this one.
  • You'll earn points for each test that you take. The test points are 1 to 5 points for the tests.
How Are You Paid?
  • The company uses PayPal to pay you with.
  • You'll need $10 in your account before you can request your payment.
  • Each point you earn on the site is equal to $0.10.
  • You can earn $0.10 to $0.50 for each test that you take.
  • You need to request your payment from the company.
  • It normally takes 30 days to process your payment.
The site has improved since it rebranded. However, what I don't like is how long it takes to be paid by the company.

Has anyone joined this site and how do you like it since it was rebranded?

What do you mean by "opening the lobby"? I havent had any tests for month now. I really want to know whats wrong with the notification :(
I went to https://app.usabilityhub.com/lobby (it tells me if there are any active tests).

If the notifications are broken for you, too, you can leave the tab open in the background and wait for it to play a sound / start flashing "Ready!".

Yes that is true it is not really good for you to run a program like this without renting a referal it is the most important part of the business as its generate extracash for an individual and through this you can make alot of money.
Yes this is true any good online income earner most know the source of his income to earn some cash here and that is what i do when i first started the program.

I open a tab on this site, but i still havenr seen any tasks. Care to tell me around what time you get the tasks? Maybe its because i logged in in the wrong time :(

They happen randomly, so your best bet at getting a task is to leave it in the background and wait for the notification sound.

I always think this website is dying. I used to get tons of tests daily, but now I get none. My last test was about a month ago... I wonder if they purposely phase out the older users so they can get more data from their newer users..

I dont think only the new members get most chance, cause even when i was new, i didnt get many tasks either. Many people online said they had many more tasks before.

I think it also depends on one's luck with timezones. I'm also getting fewer tests and I'll probably never be able to reach $10 as I can't even enable push notifications when the tab is closed in Chrome. Perhaps I should just give it another try with Firefox because there's no way I'm going to be able to keep the tab open all the time.

I agree. I used to get most of my tests around noon, but i cant online on that period of time anymore. I still online when i can, but with different time period, i dont get any tasks anymore.

I've finally managed to enable push notifications for this site using Firefox because for some sort of reason Chrome didn't allow it. And they have also changed their interface which helped me notice that my tester rating is 100%. Was the tester rating there before?

I couldnt enable the push notifications and im using firefox. Dont know if its related :p oh i only have 96% rate. I guess thats because i panicked the first time i had a test then dropped out in the middle of the test. I wonder if the rating affects the numbers of test i receive.

Pretty sure it's the timezones that matter more. I will probably never reach the threshold. I have $2.80 but I rarely get tests when I'm around. I usually give long and thoughtful responses and once I accidentally pressed enter before finishing my last sentence. Looks like it didn't affect my rating, lol.

Yup. I just find out there is an option to choose the available work time, turns out mine was between 0700-2200, which is NOT usually my time to work on usability. I just change it. Hopefully i will get my tests soon.
That was my first time, i didnt know how it worked so i press something like "i dont want to do a test" lol or just quit. I dont really remembee.

I don't know if it's the timezones. I don't even think time matters. Sometimes I'll get a task and go afk and the task will still be available when I come back. They only send some tasks to specific users. So I don't think it matters what timezone you're in because it's not a first come, first serve thing. If they are not looking for your demographics, they won't send you the task.

Anyway, they recently updated the dashboard on the site. It looks better, but I'm still not getting any tasks so it's not an improvement.

@Miya I didn't know that. I was always under the impression that they send tasks to people who chose a certain period of availability. It never happened to me to walk away and then still find the task, but if you're right and timezones matter less than demographics then there's no way they'll send me more tests in the future if that's all I got till now.

That's why I think they fade out a lot of the older users for the newer ones. I used to get a lot of tasks... like 6-7 everyday. Now I don't get any. But my demographics are the same... I guess there are more users with similiar demographics as me and they choose to give the tasks to the new ones because they've heard my opinion many times.

If you are not of interest to them in the first place, they probably won't send tasks even if you are a new user.

I never cashed out and I also never got 6-7 tasks per day. Perhaps location also matters? I joined usability hub three months ago and the best I used to get were 2 tasks per day. And I remember once that I got a task but my wi-fi connection froze and when coming back the task was gone. My tester rating is 100% so I don't know. It's either a combination of demographics, location and timezones or simply the site is running dry.

But the site has "availability" time in setting. Im not sure if its related. Also, i enable the email notification, has anyone received emails from them about new tets?

No, I've never received an email from them, even tho I have enabled that option. And notifications I received up to May 25th, when those European changes happened and Chrome disabled them automatically. Either way, thanks to Firefox, I did receive an invitation today, but my wi-fi froze and I was unable to finish the task and get credited. Just my luck.

What european changes? I use firefox as well. Still havent gotten any tests recently. I changed the availibility work time too. Hopefully i will ger a new test soon so i know my setting is fine.

It was something related to privacy. I think the European Union made some changes with the purpose of trying to help people understand how their data is being handled by all these sites. I had to agree with the terms of all those sites all over again, but I never got anything from Usability hub.
