I would like to create a discussion and ask a question at the same time. I have been trading / investing for two years so i've been around for a little while. I have read a lot about USDT - Tether in the past. I'm no economist but if Tether is subject to inflation/deflation just like the US Dollar, that is; the supply of USDT can be expanded/contracted, what makes USDT any better than USD?
The more important question is with the Federal Reserve printing Trillions of dollars (This week outlining plans to inject 1.5 trillion into the US economy) in QE to Infinity, what happens to the value of Tether if the US Dollary hyperinflates? Tether is afterall based on the value of the dollar, what happens if there is a loss of confidence in the dollar or it suddenly hyperinflates like Zimbabwe?
