UserCrowd was rebranded not long ago. The company changed their name from UsibilityHub to UserCrowd. When they did this it seems that the site now has more tests that you can take. This is an international website and anyone can join. Here you will be doing really short user tests on websites or even apps. They can even ask you for your opinion on different logos or other types of information a developer is looking for the opinion from the public.

How Does it Work?
  • Like all sites, you must first join.
  • Here you can only join with your email address and password.
  • The site will ask you several questions regarding your age, your country, and what languages you speak.
  • They will also make you verify our phone number. You must enter your phone number and they will send you an SMS with a verification code. Before you can finish the sign-up process you must enter this code.
  • The site will verify your time zone and set this up for you.
  • They will also want to know how many hours you work on your computer each day.
  • They ask you if you want to set up your push notifications on the site.
  • This is a really good idea. If you have them turned on you can receive notifications of a new test that is available for you to take.
How Do The Tests Work?
  • The tests are super simple and easy to take. You don't need a screen recorder or even a microphone to take the tests. They are all done in your web browser.
  • The company can show you a website for a few seconds. After this, they will give you a few questions to answer. The questions are simple and deal with what you remember about the website you just saw.
  • Normally, it takes less than a minute to take the test and give your feedback.
  • You can also be shown a logo or a set of logos and asked which one you like better. You must give your feedback and tell them why you like this one.
  • You'll earn points for each test that you take. The test points are 1 to 5 points for the tests.
How Are You Paid?
  • The company uses PayPal to pay you with.
  • You'll need $10 in your account before you can request your payment.
  • Each point you earn on the site is equal to $0.10.
  • You can earn $0.10 to $0.50 for each test that you take.
  • You need to request your payment from the company.
  • It normally takes 30 days to process your payment.
The site has improved since it rebranded. However, what I don't like is how long it takes to be paid by the company.

Has anyone joined this site and how do you like it since it was rebranded?

I can't find any way to turn on the notifications on my mobile. I did turn it on on my laptop but I can't use my laptop for time being. I checked the site on my mobile in the morning and there were no tests.
It will be hard for you to get notified in mobile unless there's an app version of it. Have you experienced completing the task using your mobile?

Yes I completed two tests on my mobile. I think I got lucky as I was checking the site at that time. It is easy to complete the tests on the mobile too. Had there been an app it would have been better.

There is no mobile app for usability test, however, youc an still complete the task using mobile through browser. But to get notified, you need to have a good connection.

@Po1son Okay that's good, I thought it will be hard to do the tasks on mobile because there are some images that you need to choose between the two.

Nope, it is viewable on mobile, but it will work best on laptop. I think we can suggest them to develop an app version so that every task will be fut for mobile users.

Yep, I realized it now that you really need to have a good connection because there are images that needed to load first before you can do the tasks.

I am glad that I have finally received my payment from Usability Hub. It's $10.60 without PayPal fee.
I thought I would never get the payment as the minimum payout was $20 and I haven't been getting any tests to do for long time. It's good that they have decreased the minimum payout, and I just had enough to cash out.

Yes, you have to clearly see the images before you can perform the task and good connection is not just for the task but it is also for us to easily get notified whenever there is a new task available. Poor connection might lead to either late notification or no notification at all.

As of this moment I got 9 credits and 91 more credits to go. :Roflmao::Roflmao: How much is the minimum payout? It's kind of slow earning but I'm happy that I'm receiving tasks.

100 credit is needed to request a cashout and it is equivalent to 10$. Yes it is slow earning but the task are so easy like just you are browsing and clicking pictures on social medias :D

Yes, indeed it easy tasks I just hope they can send more tasks everyday equivalent to $1 per day. :Roflmao: So everybody would be happier.

Yes, I agree with you. It's good if they can get more clients and we can get more tests to do, so they will get to earn more, and same to us. I haven't been getting any tests since months ago.

Lol, I hope that can happen soon, but with numbers of their members they could go bankrupt if they will
send each one with equivalent of 1$ task per day :p

But if they can send that amount of tasks, that means they have more clients too. I believe the clients pay them much more than they pay us. Perhaps they should work harder in getting clients.

I guess they only base the availability of the task according to the number of their members. I have heard many complains before that now, usability hub are sending less tasks compare before.

Are you using a laptop? Because it's easier to get a task if you're using a laptop instead of mobile. You just have to enable push notifications and play a sound.

I have received my first payment in usabilityhub. It takes me months to reach this minimum (10USD) since I started in October last year. I got only 9.80USD since 2 responses according to them I failed to meet minimum standards according to their quality guidelines. So guys....unacceptable responses also impact your rating as a tester, so take care to give every test your best effort.

congrats on your payment. Though it took you months to complete, being paid with an easy task is still a good earning. Usability hub is like a survey site too, they will know if you are not paying attention to the task and questions.

I am using a desktop. Yes, I think it's easier to just let the site on and turn on the notification too. It's good to get some tests to do and earn a little bit.

@Pimoo Congratulations to you! So you have earned that from October last year till now, which is about 4 months, right? That's not bad to me, as you still get lots of tests to do, I suppose.

As of this moment, I have now $1.4. I thought the tasks are always equivalent to 1 credit only but I got two tasks yesterday which equivalent to 2 credits each.
