Three terrorist groups from the Middle east - al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing; al-Qaeda and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS - are using social media and cryptocurrency to finance their terror campaign across the world. Their luck quickly ran out when The justice department seized no less than 300 accounts that hold the funds.

Well, they had it coming. The Justice dept did the right thing and it would have even been better if some scape goats were arrested also. Ultimately, all everyone needs is peace and anything that contravenes that should be brought to book.

The is a good move by justice department more accounts should be watched, we are tired of all these unnecessary war and attack, peace is what is desired. More proactive measures need to be taken because lots of illicit activities wants to hide under bitcoin.
.

Yeah its good the money was seized by the us Justice , I just hope more are been seized ,since those terrorist makes use of those money to finance themselves and gives them more power

they're probably taking advantage of the anonymity feature of crypto, probably they didn't think about that lately security stuffs in crypto have been tightening against illegal activities

Well, the fact that they are collecting funds from social medias is dumb enough, no wonder the FBI able to trace them easily by ordering subpoena on their personal accounts that run those crowdfunding.

how did they actually succeed getting their campaigns approved in social media without getting arrested for that at the first place ? LOL, that's just hilarious, i believe they were hidden themselves under something else besides terrorism

Ya, that also makes me wonder. But then you know that on Facebook there are a lot of scammers, and people selling stuff like suicide pills, so as long as there's a will there's a way I guess.

that's just ridiculous lol, i mean sometimes they make me think that algorithms and bots work in an opposite way, there were literally sexual toys being sponsored on facebook but were never deleted, and yet you get blocked for couple of days just because a banana picture that you posted looked like something else for the bot

I totally support this seizure if it was about illegal and dangerous act. It should be seized with no option of them getting it back. Maybe this will help reset their brains

I am happy it has been siezed but i hope they have prosecuted those involved un such criminal school because thats not good , ir will serve as a lesson to others

I think since they traced it and it was seized then no problem , its when they were not able to track the transaction. ,that there will be issues

Wow. This is good news , however I do wish that soon people will stop abusing cryptocurrency by using it to carry out spamming ACTIVITIES

I'm glad the US Justice Department were able to seize the terrorist.

This is would be more easier to trace such culprits once we have crypto regulated.
Sure. Crime covering is one of the advantage that comes through cryptocurrency regulation ,however there is also other side effects that may come as well .
