Few months ago the US department of Justice made a siezure of $1 billion worth of bitcoin which was related to shady deals.
The US government general service administration included bitcoin as part of auction properties this year.
The few days event ended on Wednesday and the winner of the bid bought it $53,104 .
It is important to also note that US government has 70,124 Bitcoin which is equivalent to $4 billion in her cofer.

I believe that US is one of the countries that have shown support for cryptocurrency in general and this will benefit them because they were able to seize those Bitcoin because of regulations in the country

I really like their involvement in the use of bitcoin , i just hope they could continue thay , but was those shady deals from people or deals regarding the us government

They are trying their best to be on top of the situation regardless the challenges Crypto currencies are facing, i expect similar cooperation with SEC for newly progressive coins

Yeah am sure they might start trying it out on some newly progressive coin too , but i don't know why more focus is majorly on only ripple

They accuse ripple of selling it coins as securities without following the proper procedure, this may be as a result of rapid partnership of rippleX with banks that are well known.

Even there might be some coins that are selling it as securities ,only that they are not just focus on others but ripple seems to be their only major focus

I think they will be the ones to benefit from cryptocurrency transaction in their country ,because they monitors cryptocurrency transaction and will earn taxation from it

It is good they were confiscated from those who involve themselves in shade deals. There are legitimate business one can without thinking of scaming people.

Sure, that's why they auction the Bitcoin to give out to the crowd part of their accumulated profits they gathered. The U.S government knows the economic importance of Cryptocurrency in general, that's why they gave their full support for it. Not like other developing countries that is very headstrong about its development of crypto in their country. Those countries are trying to go back to the exient days, when the world was still operating on the analogue system of things.
The fact is that African countries normally come late in terms of innovation. This has been a challenge to their development in general .

The auction wasn't really for the profit they made because the bitcoin was seized due to illegal activities linked to it so they auction it for those perpetrators to know their bitcoin is not longer in the custody of the government.

Well , even if they didn't auction it ,it makes no difference because they can't access the money neither. I believe this will make people to be careful

That is true. We are well adrift from the top countries. And the worst part some of this African regions doesn't learn at all to improve their stand. Imagine our country Nigeria, saw that crypto is widely accepted in the developed countries but they still went ahead to ban it. That shows ignorance, and very unwilling to move forward.
To me I believe that they don't want their citizens to be financially liberated . They knew that time will come when we won't have time to collect their peanuts during votes .

Sure, that time will come when their peanuts won't be accepted for their election injustice. The youths are finding better opportunities online and offline to earn meaningfully, and move on despite the country's slack decision making
Exactly . This is what they are scared of . Time will come when people won't have time to campaign for them . People won't even vote for money as well .and we may demand for blockchain voting system.

Is blockchain can be used to monitor elections politicians won't be asked to work before they start working efficiently so that they can retain their seats or sick for your offices.

The decision of the US government has actually shown the fact they are ready to support crypto and also ready to fight those citizens that try using cryptocurrencies in the negative way.

Cryptocurrency is already past and parcel of the US government and as citizens, they are only building strong structures for the cryptocurrency markets.

Yeah, sure. And happily l would say they are among the few countries that have struggled to at least regulate some activities of the illegal dealers of crypto.

The us government storing such amount of bitcoin actually shows the level of interest they actually have in bitcoin, and this, would help the price

Sure, the amount stored by them is quite decent and it can definitely help the price of bitcoin. I'm sure that have also encourage her citizens to also store their bitcions.
