Sometimes it happens that way. If the network is too busy and your fees aren't enough, it will delay and if you are not even lucky it might not successful, but the funds will be back.

Yes, l had similar problem some time ago. But mine cancelled itself after a week and the funds returned to my blockchain wallet. But if I may ask were you the one that chose the fee or the fee was recommended by the wallet?

Did you adjust the gas fee to an extent that it was lower than what was given ? This is usually one of the causes of such delay . Another factor is network congestions

Yes, l had similar problem some time ago. But mine cancelled itself after a week and the funds returned to my blockchain wallet. But if I may ask were you the one that chose the fee or the fee was recommended by the wallet?

My incoming payment was from a faucet site and it worked well the last few months so i think the fee was automatically paid by him.

Uhm. Sorry but i cant seem to understand. I did not pay a transfer fee or anything so i assume the sender paid on my behalf

I finally know that it depends on the platform you're sending the funds to.. it might take about 30 confirmations in other but to some it takes thousands

Considering thousands, will it take weeks? Months? Or even a year perhaps?

1 and a half week for 1009 confirmations..

Currently Bitcoin transactions are busy, maybe stuck, there is no time limit for how long a transaction will be confirmed, first depending on the fee, secondly the network density. In 2017 I waited for 1 confirmation up to 3 days, and now it has been 10 hours that sending has not received 1 confirmation, so we can only wait for confirmation and be patient.

If it eventually fails to confirm, ive heard the payment will be reverted back to the sender, will I (the receiver) gets notified as well?

The amount of time needed for it to be processed depends on how much you payed for the transaction fees, if you payed really low it might just be there for a week or a while, I assume this is from a doubler site? as usually this happens with doubler site as they pay really low trans fee, and they consolidate payments, bunching tons of payments into one transaction

Its from a faucet though, a doubler site only lasts a week more or less but i had payments from this faucet for more than a year already.

But this one payment i requested recently took unusually long. ?

Oh , you are at the receiving end?. The issue is from the sender . He might have adjusted the fee to suit him thus leading to the delay in completion

Try to contact the support of the platform there may be a problem with their system.. I haven't seen anything like that yet.. it should have atleast 1 as long as it's moving

The thing is the sending platform is so unresponsive. Geez ?

If it's from a faucet the situation seems possible. Maybe the faucet owner paid very low transaction fees and because of that it will delay. A friend experienced same thing with adeth.cc, the payment finally came after two months of requesting.

Based on the screenshot Ive provided in my very first comment, the transfer fee was paid .00002840 BTC, i think thats too low considering i am supposed to receive .001 btc.

but as long as this is not a scam attempt, im just fine waiting.
