I know this might be a sensitive but common question asked frequently online and i understand that they are reason why one will choose to use a particular system. Personally i love using UNIX OS (Linux) cause IMO it easy to work with and most of it SDK are not proprietary like Windows (MSVC). Also compiling cross platform softwares on linux is quite easy than on windows. The only reason why i still use windows is due to the fact that it still has the highest userbase.

Will love to know what you guys think, do you prefer UNIX (Linux, Mac OSX) or Windows?

Depends what you do. If you do frontend, especially logo design, image editor than Windows is much better than Linux. If you do backend, writing codes, less WYSIWYG editors, than Linux has some advantages.

IMO that's not totally true, Linux has some amazing tools for software and Graphics/UI design. I will just say it depends mostly on how you are able to adapt to the software workflow cause some might have a different workflow than their Windows proprietary alternative. Moreover if you are so used to a particular windows software, they are chances that you might be able to get it to run on linux via wine (i was able to run Adobe PS CS6 on Linux via wine).
Also Linux IMO is more lightweight that windows, when i was running linux on a potato laptop, i was more productive with it than when i switched to Windows.
Am not trying to praise Linux here cause it also as it own flaws but am just trying to state my experience. :)

My personal experience is from joined projects with few designers and they recomended Mac or Windows, not Linux. Especially Photoshope seniors don't like Linux some color types are not recognized well. Something like that.

Well Mac is also a UNIX OS, i just used Linux in my example cause that's what i have access to.

As i said in my post, it depends on how you are able to adapt to it workflow. Some people are were familiar with GIMP (a free photoshop substitute), while some hate it. Alot of design software doesn't have a Linux port like PS you mentioned, that's why alot of designer stay away from it.
As for the color type issues, I don't know what you mean. All i know is that some image/video format are difficult to work with on Linux due to lack of software reason stated above.

I agree. I know few database developers and they only work on Linux. It's much better for them, similar to servers since most of them run some version of Linux. Most often Debian.

i had a cousin that used to use Ubuntu , it worked perfectly for him than windows 7 , as a designer , he never complained about ubuntu nor even needed some help about it , so yeah , i'd go for Ubuntu , even if i'm a fan of windows , but works are workds .

Software development on UNIX systems is easier as there are many open source programs look at as examples, the benefit of Windows development is there will be more buyers for your software.

Windows is popular but lunix has better performance, if you are someone who's using his computer for some basic usage, then lunix is probably the best you can go for for sure no matter how old is your computer thanks to its optimization, even though you can emulate windows applications on linux, but if you use your computer for multitasking, then windows is without any doubt the operating system that you have to use .

I am using windows operating system since a long time so i found it user-friendly and easy to use, i have also tried unix but it was not user-friendly for me, may be because since childhood i am using windows system. We know windows operating system has the maximum numbers of user which proves it is one of the best operating system.

As you said, this is a very "personal" question. Everyone uses what they like best. Newbies mainly use Windows, as they are already very familiar with this operating system. If a person does not know what to choose, then the best solution to this problem will be if he tries and compares Windows and Unix. Then he will be able to make a choice in favor of what he likes best. Of course, ideally, it would be nice to own both operating systems at once so that there are no compatibility problems. I have not learned about the updates of these operating systems for a long time, since now I have a slightly different field of activity. Basically, the development of database design, specialized software and everything else is done by the company we know. It is much cheaper than keeping an employee to do it.

Windows is easier to learn and hack or crack windows machines get more attacks than Linux because lesser people know Linux because its not common , slightly difficult to learn and execute but note secure As a plus point to be honest so Linux

Ok, I simply want to tell that window is best for graphic designing while linux have advantages in coding, but you can do with windows you don't have to face any problem with it also. It depends on you what to use

In my opinion, for the development of an app or software, there is nothing better than contacting a development company in a timely manner, which will do the job efficiently. Experienced developers will always tell you what is better flutter vs react native 2022, as well as offer excellent solutions for businesses

Hard to say. There is no clear winner on this one. All I can say is that if you want to develop an app or software for Windows, then you should use Microsoft's code editor and tools for optimization. On the other hand, if you want to develop software for Linus, go for open source tools.

If you need more security for your developed apps and he want to pick an option that helps in writing complex codes and also allows you to have ease of working than Linux for windows it is good to play and install items and also updation which ia much better and provides full support which is a good thing

Unix is more stable than Windows hence it provides relatively more processing power. Although all operating systems that conform to the Unix standards are Unix, it has various branches. So you have to search comparatively according to your needs.
