With the way things are going. It is possible another airdrop will come from uniswap very soon but maybe next year hopefully

How are we sure it wasn't a scam in the first place.because I know there have been some airdrops I have joined from the marketplace here and I'm yet to make a head or tail of what it was all about

This was the first Airdrop I guess. A lot of people were fortunate to have gained enough then , the second Airdrop was aimed at meeting up to people that missed the first Airdrop.
