There have been lots of investors lately especially in cryptocurrency as cryptocurrency has been on the rise since the pandemic, though there 2 types of investors

Retail Investors: who are everyday people that uses and purchase cryptocurrencies for various uses and also for investment

Institutional investors: people who have high income and big assets or big companies that make considerable amount of investments in their assets and can sometimes affect or control the price in the market to an extent. Some are preferred as whales

those still make a lot of profit as well :D , i know a dude that sells BTC for a 11% profit and buys it for cheaper, 11% isn't a small profit at all especially when BTC price rises up

I think there are also long-term investors ,who invest some cash for a long term and gained a lot of cash at the end of trading the coin so its part

I think those long term investors are grouped depending on the amount they invest, if they invest like alot then I think they would be considered institutional investors, otherwise they are retail investors

Well those institutional investors can also be short term traders also ,there are whales who trade on a small period of time and get the profit they want

Yep . Because the way the grouping works is dependent on the amount the traders use or invest . Large amount of money is equals to a institutional investor

Okay I get you irrespective of the time of trade or the pattern long term traders will always be institutional traders thats just it

The whales can be short or long term Investors provide the posses huge amount of bitcoin above 1000 bitcoin that they can trade at a time. Virtually all investors makes significant profit , for instance the person that makes like 11% in a short time can make huge amount of this continues .

yep, though a 1% for a small trader is small as they trade at small amounts, but 1% for whales or other big traders a 1% difference is already big

With Bitcoin investment for me I can't find any problem falling in either of the category but most people belong to retail investment. You just need the same method of proper management, discipline and have a good strategy to follow to remain profitable regardless of where you fall .Mos institutionalonal traders this days employ retail traders who have a good track record to trade for them and share the profits.

That's true , there is a share profit trade existing because there are some retail traders with skills but have little funds and the best is to have huge amount such that at least 10% rise will be a greater advantage to you.

I'd agree with that most of the people belongs to the retail investment group as most of them don't really have that much of an asset like other whales or big companies to invest

You can imagine that out of millions of people or hundred of thousands of people into Crypto currencies we don't have up to 2000 people have more than 1000 BTC assets so majority are retail traders.

And it is the same retail traders who make the market very volatile.People don't know that for the market to be volatile,it requires a lot of people participating in the market. There are very many retail traders and I think this has kept the market moving and very active. At some point when there is no volume , holidays or other occasional events could prevent retailers from trading.

yep, though sometimes I think whales have more effect in the market, sure the retail traders always do transactions and trades but whales do trades just once in a while not always, and they trade large volumes that have quite an impact when they do trade transaction

Yeah, that is true. Whales have a great impact on the crypto currencues since they trade very huge volumes even though it is once in a while. The retail traders also have an impact because they are so many people trading small amounts that add up to a large amount at the end of the day.

I am also surprise to see something like this I guess most of those whales do split into other crypto currencies to minimize their loss ,and also to hold more crpto

People with huge amount of money don't focused on just one coin, they engage in split investment which makes their investment safe and appreciating because it is difficult to loose in all angles.

The retail investors are common. They buy in bits and still sell in bits. 1 bitcoin is a lot of money that most retail investors cannot even purchase. In general, bitcoin it worth investing in.
