Keywords play a role in the way a site appears in search engines . The right keywords give your site better chances of appearing well in search engines.

Below are two things that should be considered while choosing keywords for search engines .
1. Competition : Some of the keywords most similar sites use , has high search volume , and this results in high number of sites having similar keywords .
To be able to stand out , a keyword like "earn free money " will have a lot of competition , thus you can use long tail keywords like " best way to earn free money " .

2. Relevance : the keyword you have to select should match what you are offering . for example using " cupcakes available " for a site that provides only recipe will affect your traffic conversion .

If you have any other suggestion, feel free to drop it below .

Yes keyword helps thats what most bloggers don't really know and make them get little or no traffic to their blog , but the most important thing for seo is traffic and quality content

What ranks a content different from others is the keywords. Google will not rank a site or content very high if it does not contain the appropriate words. While choosing keywords for SEO, consider keyword density which should be just 10% of the entire content and also choose words by popularity. There is a site that tests popular words that are often sought. Check google.
Nice suggestion but words that are popular are also competitive. New sites can make it to the top when they use such popular keywords .

I guess its not every content and keyword that apply to that principle , some new sites wouldn't even near the top with same popular keyword with other site

I am surprise to here that America and Canada do have high rated keyword interms of dollar ,all I know is that keyword has nothing to do with dollar all I know is traffic that varies based on the country someone lives
I want to know more

guys im recently re guys searching on this topic as I wanna put some effort on making some niche related site/ and can you suggest me to have free keyword tools and free competition checking tools like ahefs etc

First of all, you should find keywords that get moderate search hits. If you use keywords that get a lot of hits, you may never outsmart your competitors and never rank well on search engines. If you use keywords that do not get a good number of hits, you may never get traffic either. You should also consider using secondary keywords.
True. There are long tail and shirt tail keywords. Combining them in your keywords ,and also having a good content to back it up ,will go a long way to help your site rank

It's true that the best thing that you can do for your site to rank is good keywords research and use.

One important thing is to try to avoid keywords with really high competition. Sometimes it's just not possible to reach first page with those keywords.

I so much like this thread. Recently I have been thinking on blogging and doing YouTube thing.
With content of this thread and informative contributions you guys has made. This will help me in creating a good blog

The first thing you have discussed competition it is very essential for SEO because in search engine optimization many people make a mistake they are using the famous keywords which is wrong.

Yeah , and when people use these keywords , the sites with high bid and high SEO will appear before it gets to the new site . This is why most sites have started using long and short tail keywords

Yes long tail keywords is a good and sensible method especially if we are making videos about facts news and other things just like these we can write best of, amazing, 2021, how many other words like this to make our keywords long tail.

Nicely put! You've highlighted some key points that are often overlooked when it comes to choosing keywords for search engines. Competition and relevance are both crucial factors in ensuring that your website appears in relevant search results.

I'd like to add a an additional tip for choosing the right keywords.
Consider the intent of the searcher: What are they looking for when they enter a particular keyword into the search engine? Are they looking for information, or are they ready to buy something? Understanding the intent behind the keyword can help you select more relevant ones for your website.

The place of relevance of chosen keywords to the topic of your site cannot be overstated. Make sure your keywords are not ambiguous when it is related to your site's topic and niche. This allows the search engine to easily match your site when queries with these keywords are inputted.
