The huge difference between TV Advertising and Online Marketing is cost involved. I was reading the other days that TV Advertising can be +100 times more expensive than a SEO campaign.

Have you tried to reach brand awareness with television advertising or online marketing?

Too expensive :(, I can't afford TV advertising at this business stage, maybe in couple years or so, hope they don't raise costs too much.
 
I wouldn't spend money on TV advertising, I have great success with online marketing, my sites are doing well so far.
 
TV marketing in my opinion is only for the major players, and when I say that, I mean the businesses that have a marketing budget the size of a small countries economy.

While TV advertising gets your business noticed, it's very expensive so online marketing is the next best alternative, so would even say the better alternative.

You can promote your business globally, get your values across to prospective customers, and interact with them through various platforms, all without hardly spending anything.
 
I never prefer TV advertisements for any type of business in startup stage. However for successful businessmen, this option is also suitable. Because of the cost involved in his type of advertisement, people usually don't like it. However, it has much conversion rate as compared to other methods.

Online promotion is also effective and we can get lots of targeted customers towards our business.
 
In my experience online marketing is much more impressive when it comes to flexibility and prices, but it really depends on your comfort level because when we first started I was a little unsure of if it would work or not, or how it really worked, and I did not invest enough into it as I should have. I was leaning towards television, but I soon learned that it was far too strict and costly for us.
 
I had chosen Online advertising because I do think TV advertising is more expensive. Most advertisement on TV were from big companies, and even other companies which has good sales don't even have TV ads. However, TV ads though is very effective because it is more visible to majority of people as it is the most accessible for people.

That's right, TV advertising campaigns are meant for big MNCs and local businesses also advertise their products in local channels. But it is too expensive to afford. But as you already mentioned TV commercials are more effective than online ads. In online marketing nowadays people use to install apps that block ads from popping up and that is a major hindrance to the success of online advertising campaigns. In the case of TV advertisements you can only keep on switching the channels and the advertisement will come to your attention at some point of time.

Online advertising can reach a wider audience within a short span of time. It is very economic and you can even advertise your products or service free of cost. You can also focus on targeted customers in online marketing.
 
There is a big difference if we compare advertising on TV and in the Internet or online marketing. TV advertising is usually viewed or seen by the public, while online marketing is limited in scope. Only those who are using the Internet could see it. TV advertising is audio-visual, while in online marketing, it could be contextual, images and video.
 
TV advertising is viewed by all people but not limited to only internet users. But usually nobody is interested to watch ads between a program. I myself used to change the channel whenever there is an advertisement. So I feel TV advertising is too costly and also not much useful compared to online advertising.
 
You could record a video as advertisement (alternative to TV advertising) at a low price and proceed to share it everywhere on the Internet as ads like all these games seems to do, within apps and all that online.
 
TV advertising has become more effective in the past decade is bringing better results compared to online but that is area specific. What could be good for our country may not work in yours but the advertising cost is beyond smaller business houses so it's good only for business with big budget and huge returns.
 
I also see internet marketing as just natural progression. First it was newspapers and radio that provided the platforms for advertisers to sell their products. Then the TV came along and that opened up an alternative, and that's all the internet as done, given people a different option.
 
If you are a Millionaire, TV advertising is for you. Online advertising is much more cheaper and attainable. Also people don't watch commercials anymore. They fast forward it with their DVR's.
 
I had no brain advertising in TV as my plan or products never fit into Tv advertisements. Tv ads costs more money, however there are some cheap advertisements too where we can display a banner at bottom of News.
In these days we have more channels, so more space to advertise for cheap.
Online advertising worked for me and still i am looking to do further more,
Although every site won't fit on the news channels and it is not a targeted audience because they are watching for the news, movie, not your ads.
 
Both are just a way of advertising but the difference between them which leads to their distinction is Targeted Audience. Variety in targeted audience requires different ways to promote. Thus before choosing either TV advertising or online marketing you should know about your target audience. Another factor is the cost of package, sometimes the TV advertising is way too costly therefore online marketing fits mostly to such cases.
 
TV marketing is still on the rise. With the mountain of sponsors and the seemingly endless commercials, maybe they are here to stay for at least 10 years. And although internet marketing is already picking up in terms of patronage, but TV commercials are still the best option for corporate sponsors and other advertisers. And TV ads, according to a television executive, is still the best cost effective approach for advertising a commercial product. To strengthen the argument, it is now election period and candidates are spending millions on tv ads.... and so little on social media.

Without mincing words I think online advertisng is way cheaper than television advertising.With online advertising if you learn the art of advertising you could do all the SEOcampaign yourself without having to pay but Televisio advertising even if you are the most talented you still have to pay to get your adverts advertised.I think online advertising in the in-thing these days.

if you are still a starter, you can use online marketing, you just make your own website or use social media to promote your products, but if you are a big company already and can afford the fee in TV advertisement, then it is good to use this strategy coz most of the people have TV and can be seen your product and convince them to buy it.
